"An unbreakable vow?" Ron questioned as Harry and I told Ron and about the conversation between Snape and Draco that he and I heard from the night before. "Are you sure that's what Snape said?"
"Positive" I said leaning forward in my seat.
"Well it's just that you can't break an unbreakable vow" Ron said quietly
"No..Really" I said sarcastically
"I think we were able to figure that out Ron" Harry said as we saw a shadow appear behind the door of the compartment.
"Bloody Hell" I said rolling my eyes as Lavender started to fog up the glass drawing a heart on the window.
"Bloody hell is right" Ron said as he slumped into the seat. Lavender proceeded to draw the heart placing a L and a R in the middle. She smiled slightly as she touched her hand to the glass before mouthing 'I miss you' to Ron and then quickly walking away.
"Lovely" Harry said sarcastically as he and I burst out into laughter
"Guys seriously, all she wants to do is snog me, my lips are getting chapped. See, see" Ron said leaning close to me and Harry.
"Yes we see" I said smiling before pushing him away. And then Hermione was behind the glass door.
"Oh jeez" I mumbled as Hermione caught a glimpse of the heart still fogged onto the window and then she too was walking swiftly down the corridor.
"So what happens if you break an unbreakable vow?" Harry asked changing the subject
"Well.. you die" Ron responded.
The next few days were very festive at the burrow. Ginny and I decorated the entire burrow for Christmas. Her, Ron, Harry, Hermione and I stayed up the whole night on Christmas Eve talking and playing games. It was magical and by far the best Christmas I had ever had even though my mother wasn't there to celebrate with us. My father did come though. He and I had barely talked since the summer but I had forgiven him for not telling me about..My biological parents, and he and I were getting along fine now.
"Haley come here dear" Molly called out to me
"Coming" I said standing up from my seat following her to the staircase.
when I found her she was sitting on the bottom step patting the empty spot beside her once I was sitting down she pulled a small black box from her pocket handing it to me. I eyed it for a second before opening it. Inside laid a small necklace almost identical to the one my mother had given to me the Christmas before except it had a orange glow slightly illuminating from it.
"It was your mothers" Molly said smiling "She left clear instructions that it was to go to you"
"Thank you" I said as a tear started down my cheek, I was always crying these days.
"She would be so proud of you and so am I" Molly said pulling me into a tight hug. "Come say goodnight before you go to sleep, and for goodness sake tell those children to actually go to sleep tonight"
"I will Molly" I laughed before watching her exit as I hooked the necklace onto my neck watching her walk towards the doorway. I sighed before taking out the small silver rose charm from my pocket tapping twice. I only needed to wait a second before the charm glowed in response meaning Draco tapped his rose twice.
I sighed sadly before I looked out the window that sat right where I was was sitting. A large full moon was formed perfectly in the sky. I found comfort in the fact that he and I were both starring at the same moon on the cold Christmas night.
But the darkness of the night was interrupted by a bright orange glow. My stomach clinched as I stood up quickly to get a better view out the window.
Fire
I watch for a second more before I saw a large black figure appear in the middle of the grass.
Bellatrix
"That Bitch" I hissed in frustration as I heard someone quickly running down the stairs. Harry flew straight past me towards the door grabbing my arm pulling me out with him.
We both had someone we needed to avenge tonight
Harry and I sped out the door whizzing past Molly, Lupin, Tonks, and Mr. Weasley who were standing shocked in the doorway.
"Harry, Haley No" Molly cried but nothing was stopping Harry.
As the circle of fire around the burrow was closing Harry and I made our way through the opening. We rushed through the reeds as the poked and scratched us the in face. We heard the screaming and laughing of Bellatrix as Harry and I tried to find her but we were running to fast, He turned a corner and I kept running straight. We were separated, I kept running trying to find Harry when I ran into a four way clearing.
I didn't know what direction to go. What direction led to Harry and what direction led back to the burrow? But i didn't even have a chance to react before a large black figure in a death eater mask walked slowly into the clearing my breathing quickened as I realized what was happening.
"Well, well, well" The death eater said as he removed his mask with magic. "Look who we have here"
