Chapter 20~ Love and war

I wasn't sure what to do next, but that was decided for me when Hermione grabbed my arm dragging me up the stairs before I could make it to the slytherin common room "What are you doing?" I asked as we walked up the last staircase that led up to Gryffindor tower.

"I'll tell you when we get there.. it's not safe here" She whispered. Once we made it up to the entrance of their common room, Hermione whispered the password before we were led inside. I saw everyone who was apart of the DA crowded around the small fireplace.

"What's going on?" I questioned as I found a spot beside Luna and Ginny.

"No time to explain" Hermione said as she stood next to Ron. "We need to all split this" She took out Harry's liquid luck from her pocket handing it around to everyone, I was the last one to get it, I only got a small dose.

"Harry was a bit in a panic before his meeting with Dumbledore tonight.. he told us that something bad may happen when they return.. we need to go help him" Hermione said

"I say we all split into partners, and and guard the corridors" Ginny cut in.

"Good idea" Hermione said "I'll go with Luna" she glanced at Ron who barely had a reaction

"Neville" Ron said quietly

"Ill go with Haley" Ginny whispered. Everyone nodded as we quickly made our way out of the Gryffindor common room.

It was so quiet in the corridors. The outside that we could see through the windows was not the outside of Hogwarts that I was used to. The sky almost looked brown with a grey and green tent to it. Ginny and I split from the group heading towards the astronomy tower. We walked straight and didn't see one person in sight. Until there was a large man standing in the middle of the corridor. He smiled at us before moving his finger to his lips. I pointed my wand in his direction. It was clear that this man was not soupposed to be here.

"This way" Ginny yelled as she ran down the corridor to our left. I hesitated for a moment before running after her. But she was faster than me and there was a two way corridor ahead. What way did she go? I decided to go to the right, which wasn't the right descison because now it was dark.. there was no Ginny and I could hear the man behind me.

I quickly ran through the dark corridor until I felt a door to the left of me. I opened it peering inside before I entered closing the door behind me as I felt the man scurry past. "What brings you here Draco?" I heard someone above say- It was Dumbledore. I gasped slightly before I felt someone grab me roughly putting their hand over my mouth. I fought until I realized It was Harry. I again tried to break from his grip which stopped when I heard Dumbledore speak again.

"Draco you are no accessor" Dumbledore said quietly. What? I looked up again to see Draco pointing his wand at dumbledore s chest. No no no no no i could stop this, i could stop him, i couldn't let him do this. I started squirming in Harry's grip but he wouldn't let me go.

"How would you know what I am, I've done things that would shock you" Draco said loudly

"Oh really, like cursing Kaite Bell in hopes that in return she would bear a cursed necklace to me? Like replacing one of my bottles with one laced with poison, these acts are so weak that your heart couldn't possibly have been in them" Dumbledore said softly. My stomach clenched this whole year.. Draco had been trying to kill Dumbledore.

Harry was now pointing his wand at Draco from where we sat below the floor. I tried to fight this but I again failed.

"He trusts me, I was chosen" Draco lifted his sleeve to reveal a dark mark. My stomach flipped as I thrusted myself forward in shock. Harry stood too in shock, backing up against the wall. Both of my hands flew over my mouth trying to keep myself from throwing up all over the floor. '

"Draco let me help you" Dumbledore pleaded

"I don't want your help" Draco was crying now, something that made tears stream down my cheeks, because I knew that things would never be the same again. "Don't you understand.. I have to do this.. i have to kill you.. or he's going to kill me" Draco whimpered.

I still was stading hunched over as vomit escaped my lips. But through the heavy pounding of at least five footsteps coming up the stairs above us i don't think anyone heard me. Harry was again pointing his wand at Draco, Draco and Harry's wands were both shaking.

"Well done Draco" I didn't even need to look up to know who it was- Bellatrix. I looked up to notice there were now at least eight death eaters standing behind Draco. I only recognized two of them, Bellatrix, and Ivior Halfheart who was standing beside Bellatrix smiling widely.

"Well If it isn't Bellatrix Lestrange, I think some introductions are in order" Dumbledore said acknowledging the new faces in the room.

"Sorry old man, but there won't be time for that, where is Haley Silvering?" Ivior asked, he was now pointing his wand at Dumbledore. Mine and Harry's head snapped to one another as he spoke my name. "She's coming with us..where she belongs" My eyes widened as Draco's did the same

"I'm afraid I have no idea where miss Silvering is" Dumbledore spoke. His eyes met mine and Harry's for just a moment before he looked back up at Ivior. "You know she doesn't belong with you Ivior"

"Of course she does, she's my daughter you good for nothing-" Draco looked as though he was a deer in headlights and so did mine "Do it, do it now Draco!" He spat. Harry and I flinched as we felt someone else in the room with us. It was Snape and He was pointing his wand at both of us. He lifted his finger to his lips before turning around and walking out what was he doing?

"Go on Draco.. Now!" Bellatrix hissed.

"Let me do it, let me finish this nag off" Ivior yelled

"No" Bellatrix whispered "The dark lord was clear that Draco is the one to do it"

"No" Snape said sternly as he entered the astronomy tower above us. Draco flinched before he stepped away.

"Severus" Dumbledor whispered, there was a long pause "Severus please"

"Avada Kedavera" Snape spoke clearly waving his wand at Dumbledore- Who was hit was the spell so powerfully that his whole body turned green before he tumbled back and fell off the tower. I lept forward but Harry took me into his arms pulling me into his chest as i started to cry.

I felt the footsteps on the floor above us start to leave. I couldn't let him go with them.

I tore away from Harry before running out of the room. I could see the group of death eaters in the distance as they tried to make their way out of Hogwarts. I ran after them as fast as I could tears still streaming down my face.

Draco was being dragged by the arm by Bellatrix who was starring ahead. He glanced behind him and his eyes widened in sympathy as he saw me, he knew that I saw the whole thing as tears were profusely streaming down my face. I stopped in my tracks as I faintly saw him mouth I'm sorry before the group disappeared around the corner, he didn't want me to follow him. I crumpled to the ground in shock. I don't know how long I was there before Ginny and Ron found me.
Everything had changed
