Chapter 30~The escape

I glanced back at Ron, Hermione, and Harry as I was led away by the two men.. who was the woman I was disguised as and when was she on trial?

One of the men had a hold on my arm while the other had my wand.

We went down flights of stairs before we headed into a small court room, they sat me down in a large chair in the middle of the room.

I waited for what felt like minutes trying to find and a escape route, but surely they would catch me and I would get this woman into even more trouble than she already was in. I waited until I felt someone else enter the room, she let out a giggle as the man gave her my wand, my eyes furrowed as I relized it was Umbridge who had just walked in with a disguised Hermione, who gave me a look of worry.

Umbridge walked up the steep stairs to her desk which sat feet above me. She examined her wand before she looked slightly behind me. I glanced back to see Ron and Harry who were still disguised as well, they both looked frightened at the sight of Umbridge.

Harry pushed Ron- who was disguised as Mary's husband towards me

"Mrs. Marry Elizabeth Cattermole?" Umbridge questioned

"Yes" I said timidly Still not completely sure of who I really was

" A wand was taken from you upon your arrival st the ministry this morning is this that wand?" She said holding up my wand

"Yes" I responded

"Tell me, what witch or wizard did you steal this wand from?" She Asked

"I didn't steal it" I said rolling my eyes, Umbridge looked at me puzzled, I knew who the woman I was disguised as was.. she was a muggle born.. That was when Harry nudged me.

"I got it at diagon alley when I was eleven years old" I said confidently "Tell her" I said looking at Ron but he just looked at me. That was when I felt Harry- who was standing beside me take his wand from his pocket.

"What on Earth are you doing Albert?" Umbridge questioned.. That's when I gasped as I felt my face return to normal. Umbridge slightly smiled when she saw my real face.

"It's them" She whispered, then spells were being cast all around the room

"Expelliarmas!" Harry yelled at Umbridge sending my wand flying out of her hand landing in mine.

"Stupefy!" I yelled the second I felt it touch my hand, the spell caused her to pass out.. that was when Hermione was able to pull the locket from Umbridge's neck.

Then we ran as fast as we could for the door. My skin shivered as I could feel the dementors right behind us, but just in time we were able to entered the elevator.

I quivered as our souls started to part from our bodies

"Expecto potronum" Harry yelled sending them flying back.

The main lobby was already in chaos once we exited the elevator, information must have spread quickly in the ministry because spells were already being cast at us as we ran.

"It' them, it's Harry Potter" Someone yelled

The ministry began to lock down, the floo networks being shut down.. "Common a little further" I yelled as Ron ducked into an unclosed network followed by Harry then Hermione and finally me.

As soon as we entered we apparated, but something felt wrong when we did it, like we weren't going where Hermione originally inticipated because it felt as though I was being pulled in two different directions.

I breathed heavy as I felt myself laying flat on the ground, it was finally over.. we made it out, and with the locket too.

when I opened my eyes I didn't see the ceiling of the Grimmualds place. I saw the sky and trees...
