"Pa... Ma..." I said to both of my parents. They stopped talking silently because their attention was on me now. I painted a huge smile on my lips. "Can I... Can I buy a cat?" I asked them both. They looked at each other because of my sudden question. "I promise I'll take care of her. I'll bathe her, feed her and give her a loads amount of love! The money that I will buy the cat from is from my own money! So, please... Please!" I begged for more. I even closed my eyes and clasped my hands together so they could pity me and say yes.
I opened my right eye though just to see what their reaction are. I saw in their eyes that it was filled with delights. Does the mean that the answer is yes? I hope it does.
"Sure Anne. You do know you can make decisions on your own now because you're an adult?" Mom said to me like I was a kid who can't make her decisions.
I opened both of my eyes and put down my two hands. My eyes moved to her. I saw how her pale lips painted a small smile looking at me. I moved on next to my father, there was a painted smile on his face too. Me too. Because the moment that I heard sure, I felt like I've been blessed and the angels are singing into me.
I ignored her question. I understand her point but I still want to ask permission from them. After all, they are still my parents and I'm living with them.
"Thank you, Ma! I'll see you later at night!" I said to her gladly. She just nodded her head while my Dad still wearing that painted smile at me.
I turned my back on them. Then walked out of the room while giggling because I can't wait for the time that I will feel the cat fur on my palm. Also, I was ready at that time. I have my bag and keys in my hand. So you can tell that I've been anticipating for this time to tick on my way. I even cleared my schedule for the whole day so that I will spend my time with my cat.
I was already eyeing this pet store since I explored this city on my first time here. I saw a beautiful, magnificent and incredible cat inside there. It was a Persian cat. The breed that I've always wanted to have ever since I'm a kid. But since I wasn't mature, I can't have that yet. But now that I'm working and can think without being overridden by my emotions, I can have one!
I breathed a long sigh of happiness inside the car. I looked at the mirror that was above. I could see my lips spread upon my face with a very huge smile. I could see my eyes becoming larger at each moment because of all the rainbows and cats it was filling in. Even though I can't see my heart in the mirror, I could very well feel the beating of it that was so fast. Because of all the excitement that was consuming me.
I grabbed my bag and got out of my car. I put one foot after another and pushed the door that was keeping me apart from the cat. The moment that I got in there, a person that works there aid my assistance. I looked at her and didn't have to smile politely because I was already doing that.
We both talked while going into the cage where my future pet awaits. My feet landed on the destination. On the cat.
Oh my gosh! I grabbed her with my two hands placing at its belly and the other one near the neck. I always watch things like this—how to pick up cats and how to take care of them—that basically, I picked it up like a pro.
"Is it a she or he?" I asked the person who was still by my side. My eyes are just on the cat. Never leaving my sight of it and admiring how it looked so pretty right now.
"It's a she," the person said to me. It's a she!
I caressed my fingers into her soft fur. Suddenly, I heard the cat purring. It was vibrating in my hands. I could feel my heart being touched by its soft paw that it fluttered so much. Suddenly, her eyes looked into mine. Oh my gosh! I feel like I'm running out of air to breathe!
