Logan
"YOU should wear a barong there, Kuya." Luris suggested but I politely declined.
"It's a birthday party, Luris. Not a wedding ceremony." I calmly retorted.
It's already 6:00 in the afternoon. Iuhence's party will start at seven.
And she's the only rose among the thorns. She's just 16 years old and yet ang kikay kikay na. She didn't inherit the simplicity of Mom.
Lucian's right. Luris went crazy over choosing the best attire for me. She even traveled from Manila to Tarlac when she knew that I'll be attending a debut.
Daddy is just watching us from afar while struggling to hide his laughter in my current state. While Lucian...
Sigh.
Wala siyang pakialam sa nangyayari. He's painting his house model as a finishing touch for his project. He'd rather drown his self from too much workload than interfering with the present situation.
"But you have to stand out there, Kuya. Pangalandakan mo 'yan, kuya." she said and flipped her hazel brown waist-length hair.
I can't say anything regarding Luris' sophistication. Palibhasa, laking Maynila siya. She's studying at Paref Woodrose School while Lucian went to Don Bosco Technical Institute during his junior high days.
"That's enough, Luris. Logan's old enough to decide for himself." saway sa kaniya ni Dad pero tila wala talagang narinig si Luris.
"Listen to your Daddy, hija." kalmadong sabi ni Mom.
"He's old enough but he's still a guy. Appearance don't usually matters to boys. They have no sense of fashion.
"Hey!" Daddy, me and even Lucian hissed in unison.
"Actually, Kuya already picked the best attire for him. You can be pushy in terms of clothing. Lucian harshly retorted that made Luris' jaw drop.
He just sparked a fire between them.
"You know, Kuya Lucian, why don't you just mind your own business?
"Says the girl who doesn't pry on other people's matter."
I just sighed and interfered with their childish argument, "That's enough, please?" I begged and averted my gaze to Lucian.
"Lucian, quit being so harsh sometimes." I suggested and turned to Luris, "Luris, I really appreciate your efforts, but can you let Kuya decide just for this time? Don't worry, I'll just keep the items you brought here so I can use something for the next time, okay?"
