As you can tell by the picture, Yoohyeon finally appears yippee!
-----
Siyeon was in her knight dormitory, chatting with her roommate Kim Yoohyeon, who was in the same rank as her: a Knight Major. They were sitting on their beds, discussing. Siyeon was very concerned about a certain person who she encountered today.
"At this point I think Bora knows, Yoo. What should I do? How would she react? Does she even know why I left her?!? It's been such a long time! What do I say? What do I do?!??" Siyeon was panicking. A lot. She was lucky to have Yoohyeon as her roommate.
"Calm down, Siyeon! I'm sure Grand Master Yubin told or will tell her. She basically has access to every information about every existing knight! It's not like you had a choice to leave the Queen in the first place!" Yoohyeon tried to console her.
Siyeon tried to take a deep breath to calm herself down. It wasn't very effective. "I'm sure she would understand, but... what if she's changed? After all these years? Oh my- it's been almost 14 whole years Yoohyeon!"
"Even if she's changed a bit, Her Majesty still has a heart. Trust me, Siyeon."
Siyeon suddenly heard the guards near the elevator bow, due to their metal boots heard hitting against the floor.
"Oh my goodness! Did you hear that?" Siyeon gasped.
"Hear what?"
"Were you too tall to hear it, tree? The guards greeted the Queen..." Siyeon whispered.
"Hey!! It'll be fine Siyeon. Trust me. Just... act normal?"
"That's some great advice."
The sound of Bora's footsteps were getting closer.
"She's coming!!" Siyeon desperately whispered to Yoohyeon. Yoohyeon just sighed in response.
A few seconds later, there was a knock at the door. "May I come in?"
"Certainly," Yoohyeon answered. She unlocked the door, and Bora entered. The two knights bowed down, Siyeon slightly shaking.
"Stand up," Bora said. "May I have a word alone with Siyeon, please?"
"Yes, Your Majesty." Yoohyeon did another tiny bow and left the room, heading to the huge fields outside to train. She was glad today was a Sunday and there was nothing on her schedule.
Bora shut the door to the dorm. Siyeon was about to grab a stool for her to sit on, but Bora sat down comfortably on Yoohyeon's bed. For a few seconds, they just sat there without looking or talking to each other.
"Y- Your Majesty, I know it must be very shocking for you," Siyeon tried to break the awkward silence.
"Don't worry. I'm not mad or anything. I just never knew why you just left all of a sudden..." Bora replied. She was very sad inside after recalling certain memories, but also very happy because she finally reunited with her best friend, her Singnie, after 14 long years.
"I didn't have a choice. Besides, I was only 11 and you were 12, we couldn't do anything..."
"I never knew Lee Siyeon was your name, Singnie," Bora chuckled. Siyeon blushed. Get it together, Siyeon, she thought to herself, but her heartbeat just increased more. "It's a great name."
"Your Majesty, I-" Siyeon began.
"You don't need to call me that. Call me Bora, like you did when we were kids," the Queen replied.
"B- Bora..." It was the first time Siyeon had talked to her friend (casually) in 14 years. It felt weird. Really weird. "Y-You remembered me?"
"Of course I remembered you, Singnie!" Bora smiled warmly. "Do you know how devastated I was when mother told me that you wouldn't visit anymore? When I saw your father dragging you away from me?"
"I'm truly sorry-"
"Don't be sorry. It wasn't your fault."
Bora placed her hand on Siyeon's shoulder.
"Your Majes- no, Bora, I-"
"I know you are feeling very... unsure right now. I am, too. I thought I would never see you again." Bora shifted closer to Siyeon. "But I was wondering..." Bora glanced up to look at Siyeon's eyes. "Why didn't you look for me? After inheriting the throne, I searched around the land to look for you."
Siyeon anticipated this question ever since she told Yoohyeon. "I-I was focused on one thing: to avenge mother. I won't be satisfied until I get the rank of Knight Commander."
"Then I will promote you right away-"
"No, Bora. Getting promoted to the highest knight rank available takes a lot of hard work. I need to fight for that position."
"I understand." Bora placed her arm around Siyeon's shoulder. Siyeon flinched. She never had much physical contact with someone ever since she became a knight. But this was Bora. Her Bora. The Bora that warmly called her nickname when they were young, the Bora who giggled alongside her when they raided the chocolatier's kitchen, the Bora who was her only friend and companion besides her mom all those years back.
Siyeon was known for being pretty cold to her fellow knights, besides Yoohyeon. Some knights gave her the nickname "The Lone Wolf". But this time, she let her emotions take over. She pulled Bora into a hug and started crying on her shoulder. Bora was surprised by the sudden contact, but she accepted it and hugged her back.
"I missed you so much," Siyeon cried into Bora's shoulder.
"Me too," Bora felt tears welling up inside her, too.
"D-Did you know..." Siyeon began.
"Did I know what?"
"I-I have longed to hear you call my name for so long..."
"Singnie, I'm back."
Those words caused Siyeon's eyes to turn redder and produce more tears. She would've never imagined that Bora would break down her walls.
"Did you know I cried your name for weeks? I begged mother to let me see you, but she just said that you could never see me again," Bora finally shed a tear. Siyeon noticed, and started crying, again.
"I begged father to just let me stay in Insomnia Kingdom, but he just said that he served Neverland Kingdom only," Siyeon replied.
Siyeon finally got herself together and pulled away from the hug. She tried to bring up other subjects to distract herself from the overwhelming emotions. "Remember the time when we were wrestling down the Great Hall because you stole my tart?"
Bora chuckled at the memory. "Remember when it was your 11th birthday and you said you wanted to teach me how to ride a horse?"
"I never knew it worked. You're a natural now, and back then you fell off so many times," Siyeon praised Bora. "But after my 11th birthday..."
The fourth day after Siyeon's 11th birthday, October 5th, was a day that Bora would never forget. It was the day when her Singnie was taken away from her.
