Around lunchtime
Bora was eating lunch with her advisors and Minji, as usual. This was the first time in a few weeks that Minji chose to eat in the specially reserved room for lunch with Bora and her advisors, since she had been going to the normal castle kitchens the previous days to look for Yoohyeon. Yubin was also there, which was a surprise since she rarely attended Bora's private lunches and preferred to eat in the kitchens with Gahyeon. They were talking about the usual: the war, laws, citizen requests, etc.
The guards announced the presence of the messenger who delivered Yongsun's war letters and updates. Bora let him in, and he delivered the letter of very good news.
"To Her Majesty Kim Bora
We have incredibly good news for everyone in this kingdom! We are very happy to say that we have captured Song Yuqi and have won the war! The person you used as a decoy is a very skilled fighter. I would consider letting her join the knights. Song Yuqi is on her way back to the castle, alongside the rest of her men. The castle is being thoroughly searched of important documents and such. Though we have lost many lives during this battle, they have not died in vain. I hope that Commander Siyeon can have a good recovery, and I also hope that the other remaining injured knights will get through and survive!
Returning with victory,
Commander Yongsun."
There were many yells and cheers in the room. Bora was in tears, crying of happiness because the war was over. Her people were safe, and Song Yuqi wouldn't have to terrorize and torture anybody again. The amount of relief she had could not be described in words. Yubin immediately asked to be excused, so she could spread the good news with her castle newsletter.
Bora planned to hold a huge funeral service for the fallen knights and civilians. Many fires would be lit in lanterns and torches in honor of them. Families of the dead would be given presents and money. The civilians were satisfied and all were grateful that the war was now finally over.
A few hours later
Song Yuqi, her hands and feet bound, had her head put through the hole of the castle guillotine. Bora wanted to torture Yuqi in the most gruesome way possible, but many civilians wanted to see Yuqi die in the public. Bora didn't want her people to see something too gruesome that would linger in their minds forever, so she decided to use the quick, not-as-bloody guillotine.
The executioner, a man named Jung Hoseok, had his hands ready to pull the rope. "Any last words, Song Yuqi?"
Yuqi laughed. "Even if I had any last words, they would be meaningless. But mark my words: I hope that Insomnia Kingdom will die and get pushed to the ground. You know what, just pull the damn rope and end my suffering. This is too weird for me."
"The time is now!" Hoseok pulled the rope, and the blade swung down. Song Yuqi was of no more. Applause and cheers were heard from the crowd, with many knights, still in their armor, throwing fruits at Yuqi's dead body. Bora smiled, watching the execution from her throne room window. It was far, but she could definitely hear all of the noise.

Around 9 PM
It was Siyeon's second-to-last day in the hospital. She was so bored and impatient. Her wounds were all fully healed by now. She could even do the hardest yoga poses, but the nurses demanded that she stayed for another day. Siyeon decided to sneak out of the unguarded hospital, dying to see Bora, who she hasn't seen for almost a week. She had also heard of the good news and wanted to congratulate Bora for her success.
