this is probably my bloodiest chapter among the ones we've had so far so...

The dark and hooded figure towered over Minji, stabbing the stained knife through her beating heart, laughing evilly. "Minji! No!" Bora was crying hysterically at the sight of her best friend and loyal assistant dying. Bora was helpless, chained to the wall after being beaten up several times with a stone club. The hooded figure threw the knife aside and grabbed an axe from one of its soldiers and proceeded to chop off Minji's head, making sure that the soldiers forced Bora's eyes open so she could look. "Your big kingdom is all mine now. I will make sure that everyone you know will end up just like her, with their heads in my beautiful collection." the hooded figure in a hissing voice told Bora while spinning Minji's head like it was a basketball. It threw Minji's headless body onto the floor like it was trash, her blood coming into contact with the already-stained marble floor.

"Who's next? Guards! Take Lee Yubin, the great Grand Master, in here! After all your friends and family are gone, you will die a worse death than them!" the hooded figure grabbed Yubin from the guards. Yubin was gagged, just like Minji, and couldn't get out of her thick chains. She looked Bora in the eyes with an apologetic look as she tried to resist. The hooded figure raised the axe triumphantly and-

"No!" Bora sprang upright in her bed. She looked around to see her massive room. She glanced at the clock, which told her that it was near 2 AM. She felt something move near her. Siyeon had also woken up because of Bora's sudden movement. Noticing that her girlfriend was shaking and breathing heavily, Siyeon knew that she just had a nightmare.

"Oh, Bora. It's okay. It's going to be all fine. It was a nightmare- they happen." Siyeon hugged Bora and stroked her brown hair.

"I-It wasn't m-me who g-got killed," Bora sobbed into Siyeon's supporting arms. "They- Minji- Yubin- I couldn't do anything- the axe, the-"

"Bora, I understand." Siyeon hugged Bora tighter, remembering her nightmares of Yuqi killing Bora that happened to her during the war. "I've had similar dreams, too." She remembered Yuqi swinging the terrible sword in Bora's direction. She remembered Bora screaming because of the pain.

"But I will always be here for you. I won't let anyone tear us apart, don't worry." Siyeon felt Bora snuggle closer to her as they went back under the sheets. "I, Lee Siyeon, am yours, your knight in shining armor, here to protect you."

"Promise me that you won't leave? Forever?" Bora tearfully looked into her lover's eyes.

"I promise, Bora."

"Thank you." Bora wrapped her arms around Siyeon's neck and started to drift back into sleep, this time feeling much safer. She was in Siyeon's secure arms- her protection and her support.

The next morning, 7 AM

Bora and Siyeon woke up naturally and waited in the room for several minutes, waiting for Minji to show up and help get them ready for the day. However, Minji didn't show up.

"Bora, sweetie, where's Minji?" Siyeon asked while putting on her jumpsuit.

"I don't know... but I bet it has something to do with that roommate of yours." Bora giggled, remembering the letters and the meeting that took place at 4 PM yesterday in Yoohyeon's dorm. Something must have happened between them, since they hadn't seen each other for weeks.

"Oh goodness! Minji's probably sleeping at the dorm with Yoo, though she must have been woken up by now." Siyeon replied. "She's gonna stop by soon."

Many minutes later, Minji finally showed up. She unlocked the door to find the two women giggling.

"Hey! What's so funny?" she asked.

"How was the day with Yoo?" Siyeon asked back.

"Ah..." So this is why they are acting so weird, huh? Minji thought. Siyeon raised her eyebrows.

"Congrats." Bora was still giggling. "How did it go? Who was on top? What did-"

"Bora!!" Minji was blushing with embarrassment. "You're so eager to know, huh?"

"Duh! I'm your friend!" Bora replied.

"Maybe I can ask Yoo myself. She will be very flustered, I bet!" Siyeon said. "And I can't imagine Yoo being on top. She's so shy!"

"Exactly!" Minji replied, to Bora's amusement. The three ladies got ready for the morning and went downstairs to eat breakfast.

3 PM

Bora was in her office doing paperwork as usual, except there was much less because the war was over. This time, Siyeon accompanied her instead of using her free time to chat with the other Knight Commanders, which was what usually happened. Bora knew that something big was going on, however, when the guards decided to enter her office without her permission.

"Guards, what's going on?" Bora asked.

"My Queen, we have some... unexpected visitors." one of the guards replied.

Unexpected visitors?!? Bora was curious. Does this have to do with that asshole Yuqi?

Siyeon held Bora's hand, since she knew that she was feeling uncertain. "It's okay. I'm here."

The guards led Bora and Siyeon to the throne room. They saw six ladies waiting for them. They looked like they weren't from the kingdom. The woman in the front even had a crown on her head. Another kingdom? But why? Bora wondered. She sat down on her throne, with Minji and Siyeon sitting in chairs beside her.

"Greetings, Queen Bora of Insomnia Kingdom. I am Queen Hyojung of Miracle Kingdom." the woman in the front said. "These are my most trusted advisors and my assistant, Yubin. However, she prefers to be called Binnie."

"It's nice to meet you, Queen Hyojung. May I ask why you have come here today?" Bora was suspicious. Insomnia Kingdom and Miracle Kingdom weren't on bad terms or good terms. They were like strangers. The last time they interacted was decades ago. Miracle Kingdom was the kingdom to the right of Insomnia Kingdom.

"We have come for many reasons. First, my advisor Mihyun's wife, Siah, is being held captive here." Hyojung replied.

"Here? Why would she be here? Our kingdoms haven't interacted for more than 50 years." Bora raised her eyebrows.

"It's... complicated. Why don't we talk somewhere more private? I have a lot to discuss, since this is very important. I'm sure both of our kingdoms would benefit."

From her chair, Siyeon could see the slightest smirk on Binnie's face.
