Zoe's Pov

I wanted to confront Mike about something when I first heard about it. So there I was, sitting beside him.

"Well, I wanted to ask you about something," I said

"Go ahead."

"I heard Erica told you she's over you."

"And me to her."

"Well, you know I kinda... sort-"

"Here we go with the kinda sorta maybes." He said with a smirk

I smiled and to get to the point kissed him on the cheek.

"I like you too Zoe."

I leaned my head on his shoulder and sighed happily.

Erica and Ben came in holding hands. We looked at their intertwined hands and stared for a little too long. The broke apart quickly, embarrassed.

"It's OK guys."

"Ya keep holding hands," Mike added

"Also me and Mike like each other." I put in randomly

"Wait- what?" Ben asked

"You got over me so fast!" Erica teased

"I thought you would be crying your head off at this stage," She added

We laughed

We were talking when the doctors came in. 

"There you guys all are. You guys are all dismissed from the hospital and free to go home. We were going to keep you longer Mike, but we decided against it. You have to be very responsible and careful with you leg and back."

I looked around and saw everyone suppressing their laughs. Mike and responsible do not fit well together.

"I also gave each of your parents lists about what and what not to do," The doctor continued unfazed. "Even though you may not like each of them they are necessary. If you have any questions you can contact me here."

He gave each of us the hospitals business cards.

"I gave these to your parents as well, but just in case hold onto them. I hope you guys have a great day, and heal up soon."

He ended with a smile. 

I was more then ready to leave this place. 

Mike's Pov

I was very happy. We were leaving the hospital, I found out Zoe likes me. Things were great. Also I would hopefully not have to eat hospital food again. It's so gross. I think they stuck all my pills in my mashed potatoes because it tasted weird.

Anyways Ben, Zoe, Erica and I went our separate ways. Our parents drove all of us home. I arrived at my house. I felt really bad for Zoe because her house got caught in the earthquake, because it is very close to the school. They are staying with her grandparents, who own a house not too far away.

I texted Zoe right when I got home.

Zoe 😍

Mike: Heyyy

Zoe: Hi:)

Mike: I just got home

Zoe: Me too

Zoe: Well not rlly my home home

Mike: Ya ur grandparents home

I decided to text in our group chat with all four of us. We called it Fire Breathing Duckies. (I named it).

Mike: Is everyone home

Ben: I am

Zoe: Same

Mike: Where is Erica

Zoe: idk

Ben: Did you hear about our new school

Ben: It's not really new we are just going to a different school

Zoe: I am going to Eastwood High

Ben: Yes me too!

Zoe: Where are you going Mike

Mike: ummm

Mike: brb

Ben: Leave it to Mike to forget what school he is in

Zoe: lol 

Mike: U guys r so mean

Ben: lmao

Zoe: What school

Mike: Eastwood High

Ben: Yay

Erica: Hi 

Ben: hi

Erica: I have some bad news

Erica: I am going to Great Oaks

Ben: But that is so far away

Erica: I am taking a bus

Zoe: Why tho

Erica: Bec my parents...
