Extra: Runa lived on an island full of vikings and dragon killers but she didn't like it and wanted change, which made other vikings treat her very poorly, even by her own family.  After Runa ran away, she lived in the forest where she met midnight, who was severely injured and unconscious. Runa brought her back to health. After midnight was healed, she saw Runa and was about to make to attack but she couldn't do it, so she stuck around Runa and cared for her like she was her own.

Extra: Kato's village was destroyed by enemies of the sea. Kato was the last survivor of his village and he met his dragon, who now protects him. And he also Runa when he was in the same uncharted island as her.

Extra: his parents died when he was a baby due to dragon attack. As he was a child, he was the weakest in his village and tried to fight, but he took an interest in dragons and learnt more about them. When he was a kid, another dragon attack came into their village and he was taken by duskstriker, just as he was waiting for his death to come, dusk spared his life and kept him safe. Nik also met Runa and Kato when he and duskstriker were flying, now they're a family of three until they meet hiccup and his dragon rider crew
