It was the best three days of my life. We had an indoor pool party, a movie marathon, shopping, and so much more.
But every happiness comes to an end.

I kissed them goodbye before I left. It was an emotional parting, so I was a bit preoccupied while driving.
I composed myself before stepping out of the car. This was the address Christian had given me.I stared at the luxurious restaurant and sighed. I still couldn't think of a reason why they wanted to meet.
Jelaica waved as soon as she saw me approaching. I smiled at her, but she responded with a nervous smile.
"Thank you for coming, Nette," Christian said.
It had been so long since I'd heard that nickname. Well, that's what my college friends used to call me.
"I heard you were in Canada?" Melody suddenly asked, and I nodded.
"Yeah, I stayed there for a year," I answered, still feeling a bit uncomfortable.
"We've been looking for you for almost a year, Nette. That's why, when we heard you were here, we were eager to talk to you," Jelaica said.
"And that's what I'm wondering. Is there something I need to know?" I asked, sensing the tension as they all fell silent.
