"Do you have plans of getting married again?"

My forehead creased as I thought about how to answer. I wasn't really sure. But one thing's for sure, I don't have any plans right now.

"I don't know. I'm not planning to... at least, not anytime soon." I finally said.

He fell silent after that. Hindi na kami nakapag-usap sa biyahe, which, honestly, I was glad about.

Talking to him, answering his questions—it's just too frustrating. I don't want to spiral into another nervous breakdown.

It was late afternoon when we finally arrived at the island. The kids were so tired, they fell asleep as soon as we reached the suite. It was a good decision to come early.

"Just call or knock if you need anything," he said after tucking the kids into bed.

"Alright," I replied simply.

He stared at me for a few seconds, then looked away. "I'm going. Take care."

The suite was spacious—family-sized with three queen-sized beds, a kitchen, bathrooms with a Jacuzzi, and a mini bar. And of course, the balcony! From here, I could see the island's white sand below. The sun was setting, and the beach was packed with people.

This was my first vacation after everything that happened.

It's nice to relax, even just for a while.

"Mommy, big crabs!" Liara exclaimed when the waiter served our food.

I chuckled at her amazement. Giant crabs like these are rare in the city, and they were fresh.

"Give it to me, Lexus," I said when I noticed him struggling to open a crab. He handed it over right away.

"Careful, okay? If you can't handle it, give it to Mommy or Daddy. You don't want to hurt your fingers with this," I reminded them.

It was already 7 p.m., and I had reminded them not to eat too much since it was late, but they were persistent. I just let it be.

"Mommy, are you going to wear one of those?" Lexi asked innocently, pointing to a woman in a swimsuit.

I almost fell off my seat, embarrassed as the kids stared at me. I quickly looked away when Logan glanced at me too.

"M-Maybe? If we decide to swim," I answered honestly, making the girls giggle.

I did bring a swimsuit. I'd worn one before... but it would be my first time since giving birth.

"Mommy, let's watch movies!" Liara piped up after dinner. We were headed back to our room, her arm wrapped around my waist, sweet and clingy. I couldn't say no.
