"It's nice to see you again, Eli Mignonette Ramos Brandon."

I never expected that we would cross paths so soon, not on my very first day here. It's like everything's moving too fast, and suddenly I feel so close to them again... and it's tearing me apart. You see, the company is vast, and I was hoping that they would be the last person from my past that I'd encounter. I know it's wishful thinking, but that's all I long for. I know, eventually, I'll have to face their family, but please, not now. I've worked on healing, I'm supposed to be okay now, at least I think so.

But seeing how it affects me facing Kelly, I'm probably far from being okay.

"Could you also extend a greeting? I thought professionalism includes basic courtesy."

Kelly said, holding her ballpoint pen, her gaze fixed on me with a different intensity. Kilala ko ang mga titig na iyon. Pasimple nitong hinuhusgahan ag pagkatao ko. I know Kelly. We've been friends for as long as I can remember, and I've become accustomed to her every expression.

I let out a sigh before I forced a smile.

"Good morning, Miss Brandon. " I answered back with a glint of sincerity. I'm here for work, and nothing else.

"Good, Miss Ramos," she replied, her tone placing emphasis on my surname.

I nearly rolled my eyes. I'm already annoyed with her but I don't have a choice but to smile.

She's questioning my surname. Do I have to say to her that 'hey, I'm already annulled'? I know she's aware of it.

I am currently lost in my senses again when now she talk about business. For about five years. Did she study again?

"As the head writer, you should embody the epitome of leadership. What your team members are capable of, you should be equally adept at. We don't condone helplessness here, so it's imperative that you carry out your duties with utmost passion. Your schedule is now at your cubicle. If you have any further questions, Miss, feel free to return here. You may go," she stated, her gaze fixed elsewhere, not on me.

"Thank you," I murmured softly before turning away.

I couldn't shake the feeling of not wanting to linger in that room, much like I didn't want to linger in their lives.

"Nag-usap kayong dalawa? What did she say? Did she insult you or something? Wait, did you mention the twins to her?" she exclaimed, voice filled with so much worry.

"Relax, girl. You're at it again. " I said, amused by her reaction.

"Of course, I'm just curious. It's like the twins are my own children too. I'm worried about what might happen if Kelly accidentally finds out about them," she said, her worry palpable.

"Lower your voice Lily, someone might hear you. And if you're worried for the twins, don't worry, no one will know. The twins are mine. I don't want anyone to know them especially their family. "

"You're right. Siguro dapat mag-ingat na lang tayo. You successfully hid the twins away from them for the last five years. You can still do it for the upcoming years. "

"Kung hindi ko lang talaga kailangan ang trabahong 'to, I wouldn't bother to be near with their family." I paused sighing heavily.

"Kapag talaga nakaipon ako, I will really resign from this company. " I added.

"If you say so. Susunduin mo ba ang kambal?" Lily said with excitement in her eyes. Surely, sasama yan. She just love the twins so much.

"Then should we use your car?"
