I was sleeping in Lexus' room. After that, I headed to the bathroom to do my morning routine. Instead of going to Liara's room, dumiretso ako sa kusina nang marinig ko ang mga ingay doon.

Then I saw my two girls, pouring syrup on their pancakes. And there was Logan, standing by the coffee maker.

"Daddy! I want strawberry syrup!" Lexi exclaimed, full of energy.

"Sure, princess," sagot niya habang kinuha ang syrup sa ref.

"Daddy! Kuya wants maple syrup! Favorite niya 'yun!" dagdag ni Lexi, always looking out for her brother.

"It's your favorite?" tanong ni Logan kay Lexus, smiling.

Lexus didn't answer but nodded slightly.

"Mommy!" Liara shouted when she saw me.

"Good morning, Mommy," she greeted sweetly.

"Good morning too, honey," I replied, returning her smile.

Lexi also kissed me and greeted me. I saw Lexus raising his arms, kaya binuhat ko siya.

"How's your sleep, my precious?" I asked, smiling at him. He kissed me on the cheek.

"I had a good night's sleep, Mommy. I woke up beside you," sabi niya. He's really sweet.

"Daddy made pancakes, Mommy! And he made milk too," Lexi announced, hugging her father's leg. It looked like she's really fond of her dad.

"Let's eat," sabi niya, so I sat beside Lexus.

"You want coffee?" he asked, and I nodded.

He used to be a terrible cook, but it looks like he has improved a lot.

"How is it?" bigla niyang tanong, halos mabulunan ako.

I cleared my throat. "Much better than before," I answered quietly. Tumahimik siya, so I didn't say anything more.

"I learned to cook when you left. Liara really loves your pancakes, kaya nagsumikap akong matutunan iyon," he admitted, and I fell silent. I shouldn't feel guilty, but somehow, it felt like my fault he had to go through all that effort.
