SC: Chapter 26

Steven's POV

I received a call from Jasmine that Vana is missing for almost two days. I was shocked because it was two days ago but they just told me right now. What did they do before she went missing?

I really can't trust someone if it's all about Vana. She's precious, she's worthy to be protect for. Naging busy lang ako for almost a week at hindi ko nababantayan si Vana then this happened.

"Mr. Chen?" I looked at the conference room. I am presenting right now but I was disturbed by a call. I have this feeling that it's urgent so I answered it and I didn't know it's all about Vana, and for the Pete sake. She's missing for almost two days!!!

"Let's call it a day. Let's move the meeting when I set the date." I told them and clean my things.

"What if we won't?" They asked me but I just smirked. "You can't lose me Mr." I said then headed out. I need to go back to the Philippines.

I dialed Vana's father number. Matatagalan ako kung sa eroplano pa ako sa sasakay. I need the fastest one.

"Tito? Can I have the chopper, I need to go back to Philippines because I have something to do." I told him.

"Is something bad happened?" He asked. "Nothing Tito! I just need to go back there!" I lied. I can't make him worry about her daughter.

"You can't lie to me Steven." Sabi niya. Napabuntong hininga na lang ako. "It's Vana. But I can take care of her Tito." Sabi ko.

"Okay! I trust you Steven. Make sure my daughter is safe with your arms." I just nodded and wait for the chopper.

Dumating na yung chopper. Sumakay na ako at lumipad na ito.

'Where have you been this time Vana?'

Dumating na ako sa mansyon at sumakay naman ako sa kotse papuntang condo ni Vana.

"Jasmine! Jen!" I called them as I arrived at her condo. Napalingon ako sa likod nila ng makitang nandun sila Mr. Smith. Hindi ko na lang sila pinansin at tinanong sila Jasmine.

"What happened? Huh? Where's Vana?" I am panicking. Damn it! My heart beating so fast.

"It's a long story but...but Scar is missing for two days." Sabi nila sakin. I know they're sad about their friends missing but I need to ask this.

"What did you do after that long story happened?" I asked them. They are hesitating to answer me but I repeated the question.

"What.did.you.do.after.that.long.story.happened?" I can't control myself when it comes to Vana.

"We-we just thought she's okay in her condo but we came here and realized that she didn't go home for two days." They answered. I gritted my teeth.

"What kind of friends are you? She didn't deserve to have you! You're all hurting Vana! I can't believe this. That's it!" They just bow down their head.

"What did Vana do to all of you to make her suffered like this? Are she just a toy to you?" I said. Damn! I don't have time for this.

"And you!" I pointed Mr. Smith. "You're still a jerk after all. Damn you!"

"If something bad happened to Vana. I'll make sure you'll regret it! Tito's and me will make sure y'all regret for what happened! Mark my words!!!" I said and went out.

Sumakay na ako sa kotse ko at pinaandar ito papalayo.

I dialed Vana's number. But she's out of coverage area. Aish.

'Where are you? You little kid. You never make me stop from worrying! You can't handle yourself. Such a baby'

I think of a place where Vana could possibly go.

Right. Tabing dagat. It's dark, why would she go there? Don't think negative Steven! Please! Please!

Binilisan ko ang pagtakbo ng kotse papuna sa tabing dagat. Hindi ko alam yung eksaktong lugar but I know where it is.

Nandito na ako pero hindi ko siya makita dito. Vana kung nasan ka man I hope you're fine.

Takbo lang ako ng takbo dito pero hindi ko talaga sya makita.

'Vana! Vana! Where are you? You are such a little kid after all.'

Finally I saw her. Crying like a baby, para siyang iniwan ng tatay niya at hindi na binalikan.

'Damn you Steven! Bakit ka nag-iisip ganyan?!?"

"VANA!" I shouted. She look at me and cry more. "ARE YOU STILL A KID? HUH? WHY ARE YOU CRYING LIKE  A BABY?" Sigaw ko habang papalapit ng papalapit sa kanya.

Three steps

"I told you, stop crying like a baby because you're too cute when you are crying. Did you know that?"

Two steps

"And I told you to reach me out. Call me when you needed someone. I'm not busy when it comes to you. You're not a hindrance for me so stop thinking that I'm not busy and you'll just disturb me 'coz you're not. And will never be."

One step

"When you don't have someone, I'm always here for you. Whenever there's someone suspecting you for something you didn't do, I always believe in you. Whenever you see something that makes you cry, I'm always here to cover up your eyes. Whenever you heard something in the past, I'm here to cover up your ears. And whenever you go, you know I always come to you and will just come only at you."

Finally in front you. Seeing you cry like this makes my heart break into pieces. Why did everyone did this to you? You are not just a thing that can be played if they want to.

"Vana! You know how much I hate it to see you cry. You know how much I hate when they're hurting you like this. I'm not hurting you because you don't deserve the pain! But why? Why did that jerk, that people hurt my fiance?"

"S-steven..." Saying my name then you cried again like a baby.

I hugged her and let her cry to my arms. Cry it out. I'm here. You're safe with me. No one can hurt you again.

"No one can hurt my fiance when she's with me."
