(Inspired by the 1 by T Swift)
I'm doing good-
And it's been new
Nothing to damp my mood
And but it's good to remember you
I thought I saw you
In that bus stop like a ghost
It wasn't really you
Flashbacks are the most
Hitting the ground
Spending the nights running
With you no longer around
And it's been the most healing
I now say it's alright
We both bled to grow
And it's quite the sight
Now I came to know
Greatest loves are over
For it was all too late
They lost the other -
And couldn't change their fate
Greatest films left unmade,
Never meant to be seen
Like scenes left to fade -
Of what it could've been
But I also wonder -
We were something
A thought to ponder -
What if you were my ending?
Forgotten memories
That would've been fun
Unsolved mysteries
If you could've been the one
I once had this dream
That you're doing cool
I awoke in a silent scream
And tossing pennies in the pool
We were something
Don't you think so?
But yet became nothing
For we let each other go
Now I can only resist
This burning temptation
That seems to persist
Asking you this question,
If one thing have been different-
If we chose to stay,
And change one moment -
Would everything be different today?
We were something
If my wishes came true
That you'd be "my everything"
And it would've been you
In defense of my own
I now only have none
For I wake up alone
And you're not the one
We were something
But is now long gone
Now burned to nothing
For you couldn't be the one
