As everyone would know in listening to this song, it tells about the story of Rebekah Harkness, the previous owner of the Rhode Island home which Taylor Swift now owns.

As it is a song written to tell a story inspired by true people and true events, it was a challenge to write a poem from a song that was inspired by it. I needed to somehow "re-tell" the story without changing much detail while playing with the order of words to avoid much copying from the lyrics. As I was writing this piece, I began to find the fun in word playing and writing this whole story in poetry. Also, my own originality went to show in the latter part of the piece. I included one particular verse which turned out to be one of my favorites:

For some people think

Everything on a simple drink

They haven't even tried

As if knowing someone

Could ever be easy as reading

Something out of a magazine

I used a metaphor on this with a simple drink because well, some people think everything on a drink as good or bad even though they haven't even tried (It happens a lot to some people) as if they really know how it really tastes or how it actually goes or affect them. Why? It's simply because I find both Rebekah and our beloved Taylor Swift, interesting. They are both interesting and unique in their own right that people had much to say almost everything about them as if they really knew how things went on in their lives easily just because people have read about them in a "magazine" or any medium of mass media that we have nowadays and that, ladies and gentlemen is like stereotyping people like stereotyping drinks which is not a good thing and just as toxic.
