-Avi's Point of View-

"I love you."

I could almost physically feel my emotions attempting to close themselves off to keep from being hurt again, but I knew Mitch wouldn't do that. Mitch would never do what she did. His arms were safe. He was my home. He pulled me out of the bathroom and into his bedroom. He sat down and patted the spot next to him giving me a moment to remind myself that he wouldn't hurt me before I sat down. I was struggling. It didn't take long before Mitch was scrolling through something on his phone with his free hand resting between us. I wanted to hold it, to pull him on my shoulder and support him like I'd done since we'd started going out almost 3 months ago. Mitch looked over at me and sighed before moving his hand and crossing his legs. He started to hum a familiar melody, but I wasn't quite sure which song it was. As he got more into it, Mitch started to lightly sway to the tempo of the song. He was mumbling the lyrics to himself. He didn't realize he was singing out loud did he?

"Honey just put your sweet lips on my lips,

We should just kiss like real people do..."

He was doing this on purpose wasn't he? Sometimes I hated just how clever he was. He could sing anything and I'd probably listen. As much as I wanted to, I couldn't shake the abysmal fear that his hands would be the next to hurt me. He sneezed and I nearly fell off the bed from pure fright alone.

"You really are afraid of me... Aren't you?"

I didn't want to look into his eyes. I could hear the pain enough in his voice. The almost broken tone in his voice was a dagger through my chest and I already knew the swordsperson at the hilt.

"Mit-... Kitten?"

"Yeah?"

"I think a specialist would help."

"Okay." He smiled at me and continued to type on his phone for a second before holding the large device up to the side of his head in silence. I twiddled my thumbs waiting for something, anything to happen.

"Hello? Doctor?"
