-Avi's Point of View-

"Mine."

The thoughts of that stupid nightmare were haunting me more than I could see her name was haunting Mitch. It was the same dream I'd been having, only Mitch was there this time. Just knowing he was near by made it easier to deal with.

It was always the same fight. I could never hear my dreams, just reading the pain on Rachael's face hurt enough. What ever she was saying was making her so emotional that tears ran down her face. She screamed and threw her fists against my chest when I tried to calm her down. She pushed away from me and yelled. She pointed to herself and turned away from me.

"Maybe you should be with him then."

Then she'd leave. The door would slam, the walls would shatter and I'd be left alone surrounded by darkness. I'd yell out for help. Anyone. Nothing. I'd run around without going anywhere like something was holding me in place. Then I would wake up.

Yesterday was different though. I could remember saying something to Mitch, but I wasn't quite sure what. The next thing I knew, I was dreaming. I was with Mitch, but Rachael was still yelling at me. Mitch walked up to her and hugged her. She calmed down instantly. She smiled and started glowing. Mitch let her go and she ran out the room. He waved behind her and turned around to face me.

"I knew that look dear,

Eyes always seeking

Was there in someone

That dug long ago,

So I will not ask you

Why you were creeping,

In some sad way I already know."

He softly hummed the melody of the chorus of Like Real People Do and pulled my head against his shoulder.

"Honey just put your sweet lips on my lips,

We could just kiss like real people do."

He smiled and leaned towards me. Then Kevin woke me up.

"Come on Homie! I made breakfast!"

"Fine."
