38:FIRST KISS

When I got up,a hand was stretched out for assistance and in this minute,I didn't care whose it was,as long as it took me away from her. I dusted off my butt and had raised my head up to say thank you to my guardian angel(a guardian angel that watches you get your ass beaten and does nothing? Great!)and my insides couldn't swell more when I saw him up and alive.

"You!" I couldn't tell him I was glad he's okay for obvious reasons.

Camberley's cries had not died out and each made my heart sank until a bright,shiny object hit the corners of my eye. Oh no!

"Silver!"I cried when I saw a blade buried just below her heart. I rushed to stick it out but speedy hands caught me.

"Don't touch me,Daniel!"I warned in a bold voice.

"What do you think you're doing?"
He asked in his forever husky and clear topped with boldness voice.

"Can you not see I'm preventing you from taking yet another life?"

"And I'm preventing you from dying"

"By killing her?"

"Why do you even care,I thought you wanted her dead"

"I never said that you should do it for me,Daniel."

"Then why don't you go ahead and kill her yourself?" Daniel threw his hands in the air as he said that.

"There are some things I can't do myself, she would be very useful by my side,"I nodded to myself as this bright idea slipped into my mind.

"What things? Killing my family?"

"The fact that you got a brain is just a bonus,you know?"

His eyes widened in surprise which was ridiculous,since I had never made this a secret to him.

"When are you going to understand that we're not your enemies?"

"You're not my enemies? Your uncle killed my parents, your uncle took my life away from me. Do you know how it makes me feel to see him happy with his family while I have nothing?"

Camberley continued to cry but her cries had no effect on me as mine would come out soon.

"I long to kill you everytime I'm close to you but I just can't bring myself to do it. I swear,I wanna kill you,Daniel but something's in my way,I don't know what it is but it irks me so much. If I had it my way,I would've long made you pay for your bloody uncle's sins." I collapsed to the forest floor as I said this with warm tears streaming down my face.

"That's because you're not a killer.Your pure heart is the one preventing you from doing it."

"I don't have such organ in my body. It disappeared when their's stopped beating. I'm a walking corpse. Not so different from Victor, huh?"I laughed to myself.

"Jessica? Whatever you do,please leave Christy out of it."

"How is she even your sister?" I asked.

"Well,Victor adopted her. She's my family and I swear to you,Jessica,should anything happen to her,your brother will pay the price."

"Don't threaten my brother like that,I don't like it." I looked at him warningly,which was a very weak attempt by the way.

As long as you understand that your problem is with Victor and Victor only. How even sure are you that it was him?" Daniel said in a low voice.

"If not him then who?"

"I can't give you the full details yet but I promise I'll do some further digging"

"You can't give me the name? Then you don't know what you're talking about."

"I'm still doing more digging,can you just trust me?"

"I'd never put my trust on a living soul,it's a pity you're one" I said as i crawled towards Camberley to finally withdraw the blade from her body. She was still weakened by the silver but I knew her faster healing power would come through for her in a few minutes. Now that she had transformed back into her body,it would be easier to carry her but to where? I hoped I wouldn't have to ask Daniel since I knew Liam wasn't coming.

"You know she'll still want to kill you, don't you?"

"I just hope she finds me ready and done with my mission,"I said.

"I can't kill you but I can them"

"You can't." I hated his tone and the authority it held. Just how disrespectful was he? He couldn't control me.

"You think?"I don't know where I got the boldness from but I walked closer to him until our faces were barely inches apart.

"I dare you to stop me."I looked at him straight in the eye as I delivered my threat.

"If I can't kill your family, then you can kill me" I sounded so disrespectful and I enjoyed it. He was so tall i had to look up and this was all so funny in some annoying way. It wasn't supposed to be funny.

I had seen the glint in his eyes once before. Why did models even try when there's him? I had never seen so much beauty. I could also make out his toned arms under his shirt. He looked like an angel under the moon.

"I can't,"he finally said,breaking me from my thoughts. I breathed sharply and might've shrieked when he grabbed me closer to him by the waist. Making out a word was so difficult with him against me but I tried

"Why?"

"Because-,"he began in a low,husky voice that almost left me drooling. I could feel my lips slightly part in surprise and need.

"Because of this,"With that,he took the opportunity and smashed his cold lips against mine. The fresh mint confused my right state of mind that I found myself not pulling back and working on a way to kiss him back even though I did not know how to.The kiss intensified and I started to feel weak to my knees that I gave him full control before I bit him,which would be very embarrassing by the way.

I had never been kissed before but I hoped I'd never forget this moment. My body had never been this excited before.

"Come with me,please."

"I don't know."

"Please,we'll be safe."
