VI. EVERY DAMN TIME

We agreed to eat dinner together kaya gabi na niya ako naihatid. He's a great companion, I give him that.

Nauna pang dumating iyong sasakyan ko sa bahay kesa sa'kin. After dinner, niyaya niya kasi ako sa MOA at syempre dahil may dugong lakwatsera sumama ako.

I love going out but since I don't wanna worry tatay ako na lang ang umiiwas sa paggala. Ngayon na andito si Titan, and my father kinda entrusted me to him medyo napanatag ako.

I gave him a peck on his lips bago ngumiti at bumaba ng kotse niya. It's late and I wanted him to rest already. Marami pa kaming trabaho bukas.

We never really talk about our set-up. I don't think it's needed since matanda na kami at alam naman namin ang rason kung bakit namin ginagawa 'to.

Swerte at komportable kami sa isa't isa kaya hindi mahirap mag-adjust. Normal lang iyong trato namin sa isa't isa, and we're really close. I guess we have a natural chemistry.

Parati kasi kaming tinitingnan ng mga tao. We're not even doing keso stuffs like holding hands, hugging, kissing etc.

We're just conversing the whole dinner pati noong nasa sea side kami. We're like close friends who reunited after a long period of time.

I opened the large door of our mansion bago naghanap ng katulong sa paligid.

"Kumain na po si Jisius?"

"Opo, ma'am. Nasa living room po siya, hinihintay kayo."

Hinintay ako? That's new. I walk faster than usual. May topak pa naman iyon minsan.

"My baby's waiting for mommy. Perhaps, he miss me?"

I spread my arms and Jisius, though serious, stood up and waited for me to hug him. I smiled.

"Now, I'm not tired anymore." I murmured between our hug. He tiptoed a bit to kiss my forehead.

He's cold but sweet. Like an ice cream.

Now that I think of it, he's turning 11, my baby's growing up so fast. Malapit na kaming maging kasing takad! Medyo naging off ang mood ko pero di ko pinahalata. I smiled at my baby.

"Mom, do you like Senator Alpharon?" I stopped at his question. Why my little boy is intimidating right now.

Umupo ako, tagging him beside me. I comb his hair with my fingers.

"I want you to be specific kiddo. On what department?" He shifted.

"Love. Can you see your self falling in love with him in the near future, mommy?" Ang batang 'to pangmatanda masyado ang tanungan.

"Yes, baby, I think I like him. But love? That's too deep and powerful luv. However, we should give room for possibilities. Who knows I might fall in love with him someday, but that's only a slim chance baby."

"Why?" I hummed.

"Kasi po hindi naman iyan yong priority namin. Our priority here is the people, sa relationship show namin nakasalalay ang magiging resulta ng eleksiyon. Tho not really the bigger picture but this is atleast to secure his funds. He's a great senator luv, he'll be a great leader."

My son slowly nodded. "He is. Like grandpa." I am amuse by the pride in his voice, para bang kilala niya si Titan.

"Yup." I ruffled his hair and urged him to stand. Sabay na kaming umakyat paitaas. Before he close his door, inabot niya ang kamay ko na nagpangiti sa akin. I waited for his next words.
