XX. I'M SORRY

"Miss, kailangan niyo pong lumabas."

Napalingon kami sa humahangos na si Karik. I threw him a questioning look.

"What's with the face?" I raise a brow.

"Nasa baba po si Senador Alpharon, nagwawala. Baka makita siya ng taga media—

Agad akong napatayo. What the fuck? Paano siya nakaapak ng Cagayan de Oro?!

I hurriedly went out the office and hurriedly use the stairs to go down.

"I said where's my wife?! I swear to god I'm gonna turn this hall into ashes kapag hindi niyo pa rin siya inilabas!" 

I instantly saw Titan's back. I sighed. Buti hindi sa labas 'to nag-iskandalo. Nakita ko ang pamumutla ng mga empleyado.

They must be shock. Of course, hindi naman nila alam na andito ako. Dumiretso kami agad sa office ni Tito kanina.

"Why are you here?" I uttered coldly.

His head flew to my direction at agad na niluwagan ang neck tie pagkakita sa akin. Was it relief I saw in his eyes? I shook my head. Lumapit ako.

I dismissed everyone and told them to get back to work. Hindi naman sila karamihan kasi gabi na. I think nag-oovertime sila. Maliit naman silang tumango at bumalik sa kanya-kanyang opisina.

"You're fine." He sarcastically said.

I didn't mind what he said. " You're really stubborn! Tingin mo safe ka dito? Paano kong may mangyari sa'yo?" Ang sarap kwelyuhan ng matauhan.

He smiled shortly bago ako tiningnan ng patalim. I accidentally pulled his neck tie when he abrubtly grab me by the waist and pinned me to the reception desk.

Agad ko naman itong binitawan kasi mas napalapit lamang ang mukha namin sa nangyari. My face heated. Nakakahiya sa receptionist at sa mga dumadaan.

I avoided his sharp eyes and push him by the waist. Yet, it was of no use. He only renewed his hold on me and pinned me again, this time more tightly.

Masakit na ang likod at batok ko kaaatras at kaliliyad but he won't just stop torturing me. His hawk eyes are glued on me as if I am his prey and he's the fucking predator. I'm like the moth and he's the spider. I look so small under him.

"How dare you lock me in the car and trick me that you're coming home to me."

Napalunok ako dahil sa intensidad ng boses niya.

"Uuwi naman talaga ako. Hindi nga lang agad. I need to fix everything first and your safety is my utmost priority."

My voice is now cat like, begging for her master's mercy.

His jaw clenched. Patay na talaga ako.

"And what if something happens to you? Anong gagawin ko?" He hopelessly ask.

My mouth parted but I close it again. I want to defend myself but words won't just come out.

I can feel the tip of his nose brushing my cheek. I could feel his breath and scent because of the close proximity, making me dizzy.

"I was waiting like a lovesick dog that I am in the airport's bleacher. Tapos makikita ko nalang bigla ang ulat sa nangyaring pagsabog? I was so close to flipping the whole airport because my mind was completely clouded by you. God, you were there what am I suppose to think?!"
