Chapter 9

I woke up and procrastinated on my bed for at least 10 minutes on my phone until I started to actually prepare for the day, not that there is much to prepare. I just have to buy some stuff for the picnic day this Wednesday.

A few hours later, I arrived at the supermarket blasting snow halation remixes with my earbuds. I can't get that song out of my head and I am not even into lovelive. Oh well, I danced in my mind but searched for the groceries like a normal person would.(https://youtu.be/xBQh7bCzJps , you're welcome ) The shelf is too tall for me, so of course I climbed up the lowest section of shelf to reach the highest shelf and I succeeded but I earned a stare from a brunette girl. Oh wait, it is the same girl from the last time I went on a grocery trip, wowie, that's one way to make an impression alright. This is such a small world, what is up with me meeting the same people, mind you strangers, multiple times.

"Are you okay?" Asked the brunette girl and that snapped me from my inattentiveness. Blame my ADD.

I just stepped down from the lowest level of the shelf immediately after that since I forgot I was still on it.

"Oh I am fine, please just ignore me and I will slowly but surely step away and disappear from your sight." I chuckled awkwardly and speed walked away after that.

Hoo boy, that was awkward. I made sure I got all my groceries and paid for my stuff since I don't want to be accused of stealing. I left peacefully only to see a dude rushing past me having robbed some kind of expensive shop with two heroes chasing after him. The heroes are hero girl with purple horns on her head and wood or tree man. Yes, I don't know their names, so what. I assumed I learnt their names the moment after I said that as there are some paparazzi chasing after them, mentioning a 'Mount Lady' and a 'Kamui Woods'.

I just stood there, looking at their silhouettes getting smaller and smaller over time which reminds me of the fact that I need to get back home.

I got back home with no goal in hand, I played some Roblox meeting a stranger with the username "Chargebolt", we basically trolled kids and broke up their online dates, it sounds mean but those kids have the best reactions.

Midnight has arrived and I dressed myself in dark and baggy clothes, grabbed my bag with some knives shoved inside and waited for rider to somehow pick me up.

After a few minutes he arrived, riding a hoverboard, oh so that's the snowboard shaped thing from last time. And that's also why he's called rider, what a simple name. I snorted at that realisation. He raised an eyebrow at my snort but decided to not question it. He reached out his hand.

"Are you coming or not?"

"Yes I am, by the way where are you going to bring me?"

"Eh it is better to show than to tell you since I don't know how to describe that place's location exactly and plus it is for secrecy."

I grabbed his hand and he pulled me onto the hoverboard, it was an exceptionally big hoverboard but I am not going to question that, I am thankful enough for the transport as it is.

"Ah okay, I trust you to not murder me."

He smirked at that and replied with "Leave your safety to me."

Why is he acting like some kind of overpowered character who protects everyone? Oh well, I learnt to not question a lot of things in my life and we zoomed off into the distance.

We arrived and all I can see is some abandoned building.

"You sure this is the right place?"

"I am pretty sure as I go here pretty often, here follow me and maybe it would be a bit more believable."

We stepped into the building and whoa. The building's interior is different compared to the exterior. The interior is modern and clean compared to the dirty and shabby exterior.

He chuckled at my expression and said "That is not the best part."

We got to a point where there is a dead end and he shoved his finger on a random spot of the wall. I questioned that at first but when I heard a clicking and cranking sound, I realised that the door is unfolding and it reveals a whole staircase to the basement levels. This makes me feel like I am in those action or adventure movies.

We walked down and when we got to the lowest level, I heard some footsteps and then the words.

"Welcome to the headquarters."
