The beginning

If you were to describe me, you wouldn't even say I am special. I am just an ordinary kid who is perceived as weak by society. The piece of paper titled "What do you want to be when you grow up?" placed in front of me is completely blank and I have no idea on how I am supposed to do it due to my ADD acting up which caused my lack of focus. Well, I suppose it is my fault that I decided to draw on a random piece of scrap paper that was lying around instead of trying to listen to the teacher's explanation of the project when my amateur-like Japanese isn't even on the same level as my peers.

I, for sure know that most of my classmates would immediately write down 'I aspire to be a hero when I grow up.' the instance they receive the piece of paper. After all, being a hero is the most admired job in the world, even if you are quirkless, the minority of the population, you would still dream of being a hero in most cases.

I, of course also want to be a hero, but I never desired to be one as much as the other kids. The reasons may be because I am a coward and that my physical abilities are lower than average. What I mean by weak is that my physical strength and quirk both are weak and not much of use for a hero. I know that I can technically make my body stronger by exercising and working out, but even if I did, I would still lose to the naturally athletic kids.

My quirk on the other hand is kind of useless, I know that it might be better than being quirkless in this society, but it is still considered useless in other's and my eyes. All my quirk literally does is enabling me to blink at the speed of light, I don't even understand how I got this quirk from my parents. I guess it does make sense, my mom's quirk allows her to use her eyes to scan things and get data from it, while my dad's quirk allows him to do things in the speed of light for a short amount of time.

Back to the essay, I still don't know what to write on it, but I do like video games and drawing, might as well write down video game designer if I don't particularly want to be a hero. I do know a lot about video games having the experience of growing up alongside them. So I wrote down the words 'video game designer' without realising this would be my calling for something else that is about to impact my life.
