My vision was blurry and my body ran out steadily on its own. It was easy to concentrate in this form seeing as I no longer needed to control my senses other than my brain as they controlled themselves as if my body was a separate entity.

This feeling felt familiar, almost as if I experienced this before. I furrowed my brows in concentration in order to attempt to gain control of my body.

I couldn't control my body at all but could see things from a first person shooter perspective, this was really similar to something I definitely experienced before.

The sounds of the world drowned out as if I had a whole realm to myself. That was probably the case, except that the 'realm' was my mental state.

Ah! I think I remember now, though I really hope that this wasn't the case. If I remember right, the only other time I experienced this was when Mizuno and I asked Shinso to brainwash us in order to experience what it was like to be brainwashed. I remember him asking me to go fetch coffee for him while he asked Mizuno to spin around three times, clearly Mizuno got the easier job.

It confused me greatly why Shinso brainwashed me, couldn't he have just asked me to help him out or something? Did I do something to offend him? Hopefully not.

I winced. Maybe this was the time for him to get back at me for stealing his stationary, I should definitely apologise to him after this. But still, I felt a bit angry at him for resorting to brainwashing instead of just asking me to help him out, if he asked, I definitely would've helped him out full heartedly. But once again, I couldn't get mad at him for doing this as the instructions of this competition were anything goes as long as the students don't murder each other, so he could technically do this to me.

I know I'm quite weak compared to the other students here, so why did he choose to brainwash me instead of others? I would only keep this cavalry back from gaining speed with my incapabilities. He could've really just brainwashed some other student with a somewhat useful and speedy quirk that would help in succeeding in this competition.

Was it because I was one of the last couple of students who were left over at the starting line?

After carrying Shinso for a while, the cavalry reached the first stage. The first obstacle were big robots?! What was I supposed to do about this when I couldn't even control my body? Oh well, it seemed that some of the contestants already destroyed some of the robots, leaving some broken down remnants of the robots behind, which meant that I could probably and hopefully just run through this area safely with Shinso and company in tow of course.

Through my unstable vision, I could make out blurry blobs speeding out of this area, some with colourful things surrounding them, presumably quirks, while some just ran to the best of their ability.

There were some figures hovering in the sky, but one that caught my eye was the blob with muffled sounds of explosions following them. People might describe the explosions as disastrous and dangerous, but while I agree with those points, I found it really pretty with the explosion of colours following that guy or girl as they used explosions or rather their quirk to propel out of the area. Though I had to wonder if that person does this so much, would they suffer from hearing loss?

Oh well, shaking my head, or least I tried to, I moved to focus on the obstacles ahead and finding a way to break out of this mind prison that Shinso had set up even though it would prove useless to the speed of the cavalry as I had no control over my body anyways.
