I was skipping around the rooftops to return home as Robin Hood when I felt a big tug in my heart. Stopping on a random apartment rooftop, I looked down at my watch and realised that it was already time for me to return home. I was about to turn back and go home when I felt the tugging get more insistent. With a defeated sigh, I started heading towards the direction of the tugging via the rooftops of Ikebukuro, sure it was a bit further away than where Robin Hood usually patrols, but saving one more couldn't hurt, right?

~

Ow.

I was wrong.

While I was trying to get to where the supposed tugging was, I got kicked in the face sideways by this sword-bearing dude who donned a black motorcycle helmet that hid his facial features well, which meant that I had no way of knowing who he was. Originally, I was pretty sure he wanted to stab my neck with his sword, but luckily I somehow dodged his ambush and only got kicked in the face.

With a grunt, I managed to do a back handspring after landing on multiple bags of garbage placed against the walls of the alley, thanks to Rider bragging and teaching me about his flexibility during previous times of training, hoping to create some distance between myself and this mysterious figure as distance was definitely something favourable for a bow and arrows user like myself.

I immediately whipped out my bow and tried to nock an arrow, intending to make use of the fact that he has not jumped down from the roof yet, but just as I was about to reach for the arrow, he jumped down in an inhumane speed, spun his sword around elegantly and then pointed his sword at me, which I somehow managed to block with my bow. Whilst praying that my bow would not snap at the force of his sword, my eyes widened when I realised that the tip of the his sword scratched my mask, but luckily not my face or any other body parts.

"Heh"

After hearing the subtly muffled sound that emitted from the man's helmet, I stepped back with caution and stopped pushing against the sword at the same time, which made the guy lean forward from the disappearance of force pushing against him.

"You're stronger than I expected you to be, Robin Hood." He said with a tint with amusement in his emotionless voice.

This was definitely very unfavourable for me. This guy was definitely stronger than what he's shown just now, he was probably holding back his strength seeing as most of his moves were used to their fullest potential and not wasteful at all, maybe except for the sword twirling thing. He was even dressed in casual wear, namely a blue t-shirt and a pair of black jeans, the only thing that basically increased his defence stats was the Greek esque brown chest armour hanging off of his slim build. But why was he holding back? Normally my opponents would fight with their full power seeing as they want to escape from me, but this guy was the complete opposite, he even snuck up on me, the Robin Hood who was good at ambushing people from the sidelines with his bow and arrows!

Shaking my head to clear out my thoughts, I slung the bow behind my back and fetched out the two daggers strapped to my thigh seeing as I would not be able to create distance and use the bow properly due to how skilled this guy was with close combat in general.

"So you finally gave up on your specialty, Robin. I've been waiting for this moment!"

With that, he leaped with his dark grey metallic sword ready to slash at me.

'Clang'

Gritting my teeth, I parried his swings with my comparatively shorter blades. Why were these swings more powerful than the last?!

'Kazing'

It was getting harder and harder to block his fast paced swings. I was definitely outmatched as I even stepped back to escape from his slashes.

'Schwing'

Ow, ow, ow! I definitely twisted my foot as I stepped back. My eyes widened when his arm shifted back along with his sword, an opportunity! Desperate for at least a shrike, I stepped forward and thrusted one of my blades towards his waist.

Oh.

With a blink, I figured out or seemed to have noticed what happened just now.

Was this what they call pain?

I stepped back once again.

Wha—— did I just trip on something? But there was nothing behind me!

With a hiss, I landed on my butt with my blades scattered around me.

Not being able to afford looking elsewhere, a blade was pointed towards my throat and it was not a blade that I welcomed. Looking up from the blade, I reached the conclusion that I was defeated by this random dude whose goal I was still unaware of.

"I'm sorry but my bo——"

That's when a comic book landed in between us. Wait, a comic book?!

I did not bother to look at where the comic book came from due to how the blade was placed really close to my throat and if I moved my head slightly, I was pretty sure the blade would somehow harm me.

My opponent looked up at where the comic book came from and barked out laughter in surprise and amusement.

"Seems like our fight is interrupted by a random civilian. Bye!"

With that, he ran away into the shadows using that inhumanly fast speed that he did not use against me.

What a strange guy.

I sheathed my blades and slowly stood up clutching the injury I got from him.

Shakily picking up the comic book, I noticed it was a Franco-Belgian comic.

Looking up at my saviour who stood at his balcony, I waved the comic in hand.

"Is this yours?"

Oh no, it was my normal voice! My voice changer must have broke when the guy slashed a bit of the mask with his sword.

My saviour's posture suddenly stiffed up, probably shocked that the 'Robin Hood' was a female.

Now that I calmed down, I had a closer look of his appearance as a dim, warm and yellowish light filtered out of his room through a lamp.

Squinting through my blurry vision, I noticed that he most likely had blond or light hair along with fair skin and greyish-blue irises. He looked slightly familiar as well.

Wait, if I could make out some of his features, does that mean he can make out some of mine as well?

Patting my head with the hand that was clutching my sides, I realised that while most of the things I had on still covered me, my hood was off, which meant that my hair was exposed to him along with my gender and real voice.

Panic filled me as I thought about how I just revealed some parts of my identity to a random stranger, who I think was my classmate since he looked familiar to me. Throwing my hood on, I ran away in the dark night without waiting for his response.

~

After swallowing some healing pills I got from Wolf and tending to the not so serious injury, I landed on my bed with a sigh. That was cowardly of me, I could have dealt with the situation much more calmly and logically, but guess what, I ran away without even giving the poor guy his comic back.

Holding up the said comic, a piece of paper fell out from the insides. My muscles tensed and shoulders jolted up in shock when I realised what was written on there.

On it was the name 'Monoma Neito'.
