Chapter 15

Happy new year!

The rest of the week went by without anything special happening. Well, that is until today, Saturday, since I am going to meet up with the snipers.

I really just did homework and revised for the whole morning since I like doing meth, just kidding math. I don't like doing math but my parents forced me to, I guess they only want the best for me.

I ate lunch which is just a bowl of instant ramen because I don't feel like cooking like a character from food wars today. I would never get to their level anyways.

I decided to just relax and play Splatoon until 2 something since I am preparing for the upcoming splatfest. I am a technically a Japanese player, but some Japanese players are insane, they get more than 20 kills in one match.

2 pm finally arrived and I felt really nervous, hopefully my lie is good enough to convince my family members that I do indeed have a part time job at a normal shop and not at a suspicious secretive group of people's headquarters.

I changed into loose clothing, they did mention they would train me right? I don't know whether it is physically or verbally but it is better to be prepared just in case.

I stepped out of my house and started heading towards the headquarters, it actually took me some time to get there since there was this kid who was having trouble controlling her quirk on my way there which caused me to go around in a big half circle to avoid having to wait for the girl to somehow stop her light quirk from malfunctioning. I did not mind the extra mile since I went out way more early than estimated.

I arrived at the headquarters, seeing no changes to the exterior, still the same abandoned and shabby look. But I can't complain, this makes the whole thing even less suspicious.

I walked inside and realized that it is just 2:40pm, hopefully I am not too early. I realised that I can't exactly pin point which spot on the wall I have to press to get in, so I started randomly poking the spots around that button, hoping that I would strike it and get in before anyone sees me.

And that is when the door opened and out came Rider, his eyes widened at the sight of me for a moment then they became normal again.

"Oh and I was about to wait for you in the entrance to get you to the meeting place but being early is a good thing as well, follow me!"Said Rider.

"So you were having trouble on how to open the secret door yes? The poking thing is a hard thing to get, since I was just like you when I first came here. So you basically just poke this slightly elevated brick on this side then you'll get it. By the way, the button also acts as a sensor, so you better keep that pager with you or else you can't get in yourself."

The pager has a sensor in it. Why am I not surprised? Oh well, it is a very typical action movie thing anyways.

I replied him with a "Got it." And then went down the stairs, followed Rider until we arrived at Wolf's room. Rider knocked the door like some over energized person, then stepped in when we heard a "Come in!" From the other side.

Wolf sat at a table with his arms up like a typical villain, I snorted in my mind at the sight. It's better to be cautious about your own actions here, I don't want to be blamed for anything.

"Greetings, (L/N). I hope you had a nice week. As I have mentioned last time, the group will be training you physically and mentally. Today, we're going to test your physical abilities and mental strength, not the training part yet."

"So I am going to be used in missions later on right? That means I'll have to have a code name just like you guys, so do you give me one or do I set one for myself?"

"As for your code name, we'll give you one in the future since we give code names based on personality and type of fighting style and we'll need to get to know you before any of that. Any questions?"

"Nope, sir or Wolf. What should I call you by the way?"

"Just go with Wolf, no one really cares here."

"Okay. So are you guys going to be testing my limits now?"

Wolf smirked and it sent shivers down my spine, that smirk made me dread the whole test in general.

"Yea we'll be testing your physical limits first. So be prepared." Said Rider while he winked and smirked at me. I don't know if he is mocking me or encouraging me but thanks I guess.

I took a deep breath and followed them into the training room.
