The training room is really big. How rich are the snipers to actually get such a sweet place.

"First off, let's start with running speed." Said Rider.

Oh no, my running ability is sad and slow, In those school sport festivals I am forced to participate annually, I am always one of the slowest girls in the roster.

I went up to the starting point, and waited for the countdown.

"3,2,1, go!"

I started running 100 metres the fastest I can, obviously slow compared to athletic people. Honestly, I am pretty sure that before quirks happened, a lot of Japanese people weren't athletic. But after the hero profession popped up, it obviously encouraged kids to exercise more I guess, but it didn't affect me, so my body is still your average unathletic kid in lower high school.

Finally, I passed the finishing line. Standing up panting, I looked at Rider to hear him saying that I would not be good in escaping situations but they can train me to become better, so there's that.

After that, I went through the strength test, I did surprisingly good in that one somehow and the endurance test, running for 9 minutes basically killed me, but I was decent at running for a long time.

"You did better than I imagined with how unathletic you are." Said Wolf.

"Yes, I can't believe it as well, though I believe I still have room for improvement."

"You definitely do, don't worry though, we'll guide you through it and train you to get you to be more athletic to the point where we can utilise you in our missions." Said Wolf.

"Coolio." I honestly don't want to be in their so called missions, but this makes me sound like a cool anime or video game or book protagonist, I can't really argue with that. Plus, if they are training me, my body will look and actually be in a better state, though I can't be bothered with caring about my body a lot.

"You may even get to be my partner in the future. Oh yeah, by the way I got this, catch." Rider said as he threw something small to me. I almost dropped it but luckily I didn't.

I looked at him with one of my eyebrows raised, clearly confused. He seemed to have understood how confused I felt, so he started explaining.

"This is a device that you should carry with yourself most of the time, it is basically a vapor maker device. So if you ever see anything dangerous happening, you can call me and turn on the device. Then I'll get there fast and easy."

"So I can summon you like how cult members summon their demons or something like that." I smirked at the prospect of me wearing a cult like cloak and actually summoning him like a demon.

I looked at the device briefly, it is a tiny piece of rhombus metal slightly bigger than the fake blue rhombus gem in the middle of it to make it fancy. In the middle of the gem, there's a hole, I suppose that's where the vapour will come from. I pressed on the gem and vapour came out, then I pressed it again and the vapour disappeared. Awesome. I put it inside my jacket pocket, made sure it is secured before zipping the jacket pocket up.

"You don't have to put it that way but yes, you're right." Rider just sweat-dropped at my imagination and how distracted I am but oh well.

"Okay, enough with the chit chatting, I believe we'll have to start with the mental tests or else we'll have no time left."

"What do you mean by mental tests? If you mean the attentive stuff, I am diagnosed with ADD."

"Oh we don't mean that, but thanks for the additional information." Said Wolf.

"... okay." I replied.

"I have dyslexia by the way." Said Rider. I guess he must have felt how awkward I felt. Thanks for breaking the atmosphere dude.

When he said he had dyslexia, it reminded me of demigods from the Percy Jackson series, if we combine our ADD and dyslexia, we'd make a pretty convincing demigod. There's only a H left in ADD, then we'll be the perfect demigod. Though the demigod death rate is pretty high, so I am pretty sure I don't want to be one. I don't think Rider would want to be one as well.

"So we'll be have you fill out this form then we'll be done with the tests." Said Wolf while he lit up a cigarette from his pocket. Smoking isn't good for anybody, but it does make you look cool. I cringed at the smell and Rider seemed to have cringed a bit as well but not as much as me. I just never liked the smell of the smoke that came out, no offence.

I looked at the piece of paper, seems like your typical mental stability test, my metal state is pretty good so I will pass this test with flying colours, can't say this about other tests though.

I filled out the multiple choice questions and gave the piece of paper back to Wolf. He looked at it and said I am good to go. Though Rider intercepted by saying that he wanted to introduce me to the place. Wolf agreed to it, saying that it was a pretty good idea, so I let Rider lead me to different rooms and see some parts of the base for myself. I saw a weapons room, and obviously being a person who likes to draw characters with weapons, I asked for entry since there's a lock on the door.

And I got replied with a big fat 'no'. Disappointing.

"This is one of the rooms that I have seen once or twice to pick up my hoverboard, but I am sorry that it isn't open to new people. As you stay here for a longer time, you will soon get to see more of the place." Rider seemed amused at my desperation to get in the room.

"Well that's a shame." And we stepped away from that section of the base to leave.

"Wait, will I get a weapon of my own if I get good enough?"

"Sure sure you will." Rider had a teasing tone as he laughed and ran away.

"I-" "HEY, come back!" I ran and chucked a random fake pokeball I found in my other jacket pocket after him chuckling as well at his joke of me never getting good enough for a weapon. Geez, thanks for showing me that you have little faith in me actually getting good.

He smirked as he looked back, somehow dodged the pokeball and caught it.

"You'll have to get better! That pokeball throwing skill proves it!" He laughed then stood there for a few seconds waiting for me to catch up.

"Yu—— you're fast." I looked him in the eyes as I said that.

"Of course I am or else I wouldn't have been able to save that kid from the other day."

He then shoved the pokeball into my hand. One of the his fingers accidentally swiped my palm from the process of shoving the pokeball in my hand. I don't mind, it's pretty common after all.

"Ash is better at throwing the pokeball than you. And by the way, your hand is really cold, you okay?"

"It's been like that all my life, I appreciate the concern." I actually don't, but I say it for politeness. Way too many people ask me this question when they somehow touch my hand.

"Thanks. Do you think the fire accident is really an accident or a plotted murder thing?" Since that accident has been plaguing my mind lately and I needed answers to stop this accident from keeping popping up in my head when I don't need it.

"You have good speculation and I think that it is an accident. But with all the gang activity lately, it is a possibility. Be assured though, since the results came out to us and it really is an accident, don't worry."

"Thanks for the consoling, therapist."

"You're welcome, now may I ask for the fees."

"No, but seriously thanks for reassuring me since .... eh it's nothing. Bye."

"What did you say?"

"I just said thanks. Also bye!"

Oof, I almost said that the accident has been plaguing my mind a bit. Luckily I managed to stop myself before I appeared weak(?) in front of him. I hate feeling weak.

I got back home safely and realised that it was 5 pm and yelled a 'I am back' for my family to hear and nothing special really happened for the rest of the day.
