Chapter 30

"(L/N), you really are wimpy. C'mon, we need the diamonds!" Rang Kaminari's voice from my phone.

I was playing minecraft with Kaminari and we were met with a lot of mobs. The reason why I was playing with Kaminari was to take my mind off of the whole Nakamura ditching incident and of course Kaminari wanted to play, so who was I to refuse him?

It had been a few days since Nakamura ditched me and I have not seen him at all, he didn't even reply to my messages! Although I never really had hung out with him for the longest of times, the fact that he disappeared from school completely without any notice for the last few days still worried me. I even asked my sister about it and she said her class teacher mentioned that Nakamura was absent due to family matters. Talk about mysterious, did he ditch me because of family matters, if so, then I forgive him as family is more important than ice cream in my opinion.

"No. I don't want to risk it. Can you go down and snag it?" I replied.

"Please, (L/N)" begged Kaminari.

I sighed then gave in.

"Fine."

We both charged in with our iron swords, killed the enemies, and then grabbed the diamonds. Kaminari really just became my gaming buddy recently and it felt really nice to have someone who is as enthusiastic about video games as I am to play with.

A few months had passed, Nakamura still didn't reply to my messages and I still was the vigilante 'Robin Hood'. Wolf and Rider returned from their trip in America and decided that it would prove useful if I still did nightly vigilante duties, so I continued being 'Robin Hood'.

The day the annual UA entrance exams were held on finally arrived, I was heading up to Mizuno's house in the early hours of Japan due to the fact that she wanted to surprise Shinso with a self baked cake to either celebrate his entrance into the hero course or his bravery of attempting the hero course entrance exam. We didn't know if he would succeed in entering the UA hero course or not, but we were confident in his abilities.

Looking to and fro from the GPS in my phone to the house situated in front of me, I gulped. It was my first time in years visiting a classmate's or rather friend's home, so I got to make sure I didn't go to the wrong place and further embarrass myself.

Confirming that I was indeed in the right place, I stepped up to the brown mahogany door, took a deep breath and then pressed the doorbell.

A few seconds had passed and no one answered, so I wiped my sweaty hands onto my uniform as I looked around the place to calm myself down. The house was of average size and was old as seen from the aged dirt-stained white bricks decorating the walls. The roof was dark blue almost black, the standard type of house roof in Ikebukuro. There were a few bicycles parked near the front entrance against the wall. In general, it just looked like the typical type of house in Ikebukur—

"Hi there!" Cut in Mizuno.

My heart skipped a beat, I whipped my head around wide eyed, she scared me.

"Oh, um, hi there! You scared me." I waved at her. My heart was still racing after that jump scare whether it be intentional or not.

"You don't look scared to me." Deadpanned Mizuno.

"Oh really? I truly was jump scared by you just now." I admitted.

"You really don't look scared to me."

"Oh! I think I know why?"

Mizuno nodded. With that I continued.

"I guess it's because I used to try to mask my face to look cool or something, actually I still do that but whatever." I shrugged.
