Let me tell you that this week was not fun at all. I had to tolerate the rumours about Nakamura and me all week and I finally got back my Japanese test, the results of which was mediocre, but at least today's Friday, more like friyay. I hate myself sometimes.

I was nearing the school's entrance when I passed by a guy with orange-brownish hair. Oh wait, that was Nakamura. His murky dark green and brown eyes connected to mine.

"I promise I wasn't staring at you the other day."

Nakamura raised his eyebrow and put his hands behind his head. A relaxed stance.

"I figured that out the minute you left, my classmates were just stupid to assume, there's literally no reason for you to stare at me that day."

Cool, he is a level headed dude. Honestly, I feel a bit bad about making this rumour happen in the first place, maybe I should treat him something? Plus I actually do have the time, I should just get him something.

"Yea, though I still feel bad about it. Should I get you something as compensation?"

"Nah, it's fine. Plus, I think someone is spying on us. So we better leave fast."

He gestured the direction of the eavesdropper with his chin. Ah, he's trying to make this as subtle as possible.

The eavesdropper was hiding behind a wall, she looked angry and jealous(?). In general, I don't know what she's up to. But Nakamura seemed to know what's going on, so he just sighed and said.

"Come on, I will take you up on the offer. You said you wanted to treat me, so just follow me."

That girl must have been really troublesome for him to make him change his mind. Nakamura sped up when the girl started walking in our direction. I simply followed him and after a while the girl gave up.

When we stepped foot into a convenience store, Nakamura went straight to the freezers to grab two packets of popsicles, blue soda-flavoured popsicles. Personally not my favourite, but it's his choice. We then queued up and obviously I paid since I did say it was my treat earlier.

He sat down on a bench placed near the convenient store and shoved one of the packets into my hands. Huh?

"I thought you wanted to eat both of them. That's literally why I paid."

"Just eat it. It would look weird if I were the only one sitting and eating here."

I took that as my cue to sit down on the bench. The crinkling sounds of popsicle packets and cars zooming around filled the air as Nakamura bit into his popsicle. He really seemed to enjoy it as his eyes twinkled subtly, not the creepy Dumbledore way. Though I don't blame him, the popsicle feels like a refreshment in this warm weather.

I wolfed down mine as I looked at him from the corner of my eye, the scene literally reminded me of Kingdom hearts. Even though, we weren't eating 'ice cream' together as friends just like Roxas did with his friend, the ambience was still there, it's just not as beautiful as Roxa's one, at least we still ate 'ice cream' of the same colour.

I didn't mind the warmth the sunlight provided as it shined down on Nakamura's ginger hair just the right way, it also shined down on the greens of the nature in the park just behind the bench the right way. It looked so warm and comfy to the point where my fingers were itching to draw out or snap a picture of the scene. Though the one thing that stood out to me was Nakamura's eyes, his eyes were so murky and dark, it clashed against the warmth of the scene. The art nerd in me was raving all about the contrast colours and how it would be the centre of attention. If only the sun was setting now, it would look much more prettier and reminiscent of the Roxas scene from Kingdom Hearts.

"Are you going to finish your popsicle?"

I... got caught staring again. Honestly, I couldn't help it, it may or may not have been my ADD, though at the end it's still my problem.

"Uh, um, yea."

I shoved the remaining piece into my mouth. Cold.

"Sorry."

"It's fine. Thanks for the popsicles by the way"

He stood up and threw the stick away.

"And also for helping me evade the eavesdropper."

Did I really help him evade her? I feel like he could have handled the situation himself and also what was up with her being all angry and jealous like? There literally was nothing to be jealous about, why would one dream about having most of the student body gossip about you and another person in a negative way?

I face palmed mentally as a thought pierced my head. Please don't tell me she has a crush on him and got jealous due to the rumours about me liking him.

"You're welcome?"

He nodded then left the premises. I looked down at my watch and realised I only had a bit of time left before my 'part time job'. My heart sank at the thought of being late, so I retaliated by rushing through the streets.
