Kathy's POV

"Shut. Up." Ric said as he grazed his fingers over dad's tattoo on his left forearm, where his death eater mark apparently used to be. "And you just..." He turned and grazed over mom's tattoo, which had housed the death eater mark that she got once she had taken it away from dad and stood before 'the Dark Lord' himself.

"What. The. Hell." Cierra said, still in disbelief.

Our parents were death eaters. But they weren't like the people we were taught of at school, the death eaters they taught us about were cruel, insensitive, and served the 'Dark Lord' faithfully. My dad hated being a death eater, he was forced to be one by his family, his father and aunt, to be specific. Thankfully, his aunt was dead and his father has been no where to be seen for years. Papi promised us that with Mami and him as our parents, we would always be safe. After all, Mami kept him safe for years. A year and a half after he became a death eater, my mom willingly became one to save my dad from having to be one any longer. Neither one of my parents sound like they've ever been cruel or insensitive. They were just... kids. Kids that fought in a war and lost too many people way too young.

And my mom. Oh God my mom. Ric and I cried as her and Dad did, and even Cierra, who hated emotions, teared up. My mom had lost so many people. Uncle Fred, Uncle Lupin, her birth mother, her first 'boyfriend'. She had suffered so much, so young. My mom is definitely the strongest person I've ever known. I've always admired her, because despite her size she was always a fierce warrior in my eyes, but now, I'm pretty sure we all do. I could tell even Dad did. I mean, how could you not?

"So can I get a tattoo?" Ric asked and Cierra and I scoffed.

"They talk to us for an hour, telling us their freaking amazing life stories, and all you got out of that is that you want a tattoo?" Cierra asked incredulously.

"Well, don't you?" He asked her.

"Hell yeah. Can I get one too?" She asked and we all giggled at their sense of humor. Though I think this is one of the very few times they're actually being serious. Knowing Cierra, the next time we come back from the muggle world she would already have one, and knowing Ric, he would too. They've always been much more willing to take risks than I have. I, on the other hand, have always been one to play it safe, one to stay reading in her dorm instead of going to a party. Safe. Well, that version of me didn't happen to appear this past week.

"This is so cute Mami." I said, trailing my fingers along the framed notebook paper they always kept over their bed, but now we finally know what it means. They had made promises to each other. The first night they officially got into a relationship.

A love that strong. Is that too much to fucking ask?

Of course it is, you dumb bitch. Especially if you're into the guy that everyone wants and that wants everyone. The bloody whore.
