Kathy's POV

Muffled screaming. That's all I heard for a while. Nothing, yet everything at the same time.

I'm still stuck looking at the strongest woman I've ever met laying lifeless on the ground a mere couple feet away. And I couldn't do a thing about it.

I looked at my friends, my family and everyone was breaking down in front of my eyes.

My aunt scream-sobbed and would've fallen to the ground, had uncle Ron not caught her and held her in his arms, silently crying along with her. George looked completely devastated as he sobbed, he looked like he had just lost another sibling. Which to him, he had. Ginny was wailing against Padrino's chest, who was also crying. And my Papi...

Oh my poor Papi.

He's uncontrollable. Full on sobbing and screaming against Luna's chest, hitting the ground continuously. His screams are full of pain and agony, screams that are ripping my soul to shreds, screams I had never wanted to hear.

"She's in a better place." Luna kept whispering as she stroked his hair gently. "She's in a better place."

"MALORIE!" My aunt wailed and pushed against uncle Ron, trying to run over to her. Once she finally escaped his hold she lunged at my mom and moved a strand of her hair gently from her face. "No. No. No. I still... I still have so much I want to tell you. I'm sorry for not wanting to solve puzzles with you as a kid. I'm sorry for being so barbaric to you in the beginning. I'm sorry for giving you crap about you and Malfoy. I'm sorry for not letting you come find horcruxes with us. I'm sorry, I'm so sorry. I take it back. I take it all back, okay? Okay? Please. But you have to come back to me. Now Mal, come back. Come back!" My aunt slammed her hand on the ground, crying over the loss of her only sister. "Come back! Come back! Come back!" She wailed, until Uncle Ron tried to grab her and she punched him. "No! She's coming back! She has to come back! I can fix this! Let me fix this!" She wiped her tears away and held on to her wand, tapping it to her head, trying to think of a spell. "Mal, please. Please. Together. We said it. You promised me! Together! Please, please come back to me! There has to be a way." This time as she sobbed, both my uncle and Padrino took her by each arm, and she looked up at them with a panicked expression on her face. "NO! NO! Let me go! Let me go! I have to bring her back! There has to be some way! Some spell! Please! I have to bring her back!" They dragged her away despite her kicking and screaming. "Please! Please!" She looked up at my uncle. "Ron, baby please don't let them do this to me. I have to get her back, don't you understand! I am Hermione Granger, if I can't get her back then... then..." Her words were no longer audible, she uncontrollably sobbed on the ground.

All of our crying and sobs were interrupted by the pink bitch's laughter. Umbitch. My mom always calls — called — her.  "Look, Lucius. All mourning a meaningless death."

"Reducto!" I yelled without a second thought, chanting the incantation with as much power as I had in me, sending her flying back into the stone wall. I rushed over to her figure on the ground and held my wand in front of her face. "My mother's death was not meaningless. But yours will be."

"Kathy no!" Padrino yelled at me but I blocked it out, overcome by anger not only at whatever it is she did to Cierra but at how she mocked my mother's death.
My mother. The most valiant person I've ever known.
