Kathy's POV

"Thank you for inviting me, Kathy." Josh smiled at me as we walked over to Slytherin to join my friends in the weekly Sunday dinner. That's something Cierra, James, and Louis started. They thought we needed a space where we could get together, just us friends, and talk, hang out as a family, even air out our problems.

"Yeah, don't worry about it." I shrugged. Suddenly I felt someone grab my arm gently and stopped walking.

"Hey Kathy." Liam Thomas, a 6th year Slytherin who's never left me alone, stopped me.

I faked a smile. "Hey Liam."

"So, I heard about you and Damon. He's really stupid." Here we go.

I scoffed. "Yeah."

"I mean..." He stepped closer to me and I felt my discomfort grow. "He's got to be really stupid to let someone like you go." He took another step closer, making me step back, and I felt someone else place a hand on my back.

"Kathy, I think we have to go." Josh told me firmly, while giving Liam the cold shoulder, and I nodded along in agreement.

Thank you Josh. "Yeah. I've got to--"

Liam cut me off. "Why don't we go out sometime. Soon. I promise I won't hurt you like he did." Nice reminder.

"Sure. I'll let you know. See you around." I started to walk away with Josh beside me.

"You'll let him know?" Josh teased and I nudged him. "He reeks of desperation, plus, what is that? Like the fifth guy that's come up to you since the day's started?"

"Stop. Don't be mean. Of course I won't let him know, I just got out of a relationship. I don't need any more drama in my life right now." I explained. "And that is not the fifth guy. You're exaggerating."

"Look little miss pretty-face, no. I'm not. First it was Morgan, then it was Cameron, then Dominic, then Caspian, and finally this Liam guy."

I groaned and laughed at the same time. "Yeah, you would think I have beer flavored nipples or something." Josh's eyes widened in surprise to my crude remark and I slapped my hand over my mouth. "I... I didn't mean to be so... it's a—"

"No no no. 10 Things I Hate About You. I get the reference." Josh smiled and laughed.

I shook my head but kept the smile on my face. "I can't believe we have such similar taste. At this point we should just shout the reference to each other when we see and understand how the other uses it."

Josh clapped his hands together loudly and I chuckled when some Slytherins jumped. And they're supposed to be the badasses of the school. Please. "That's a great idea! You never cease to amaze, do you pretty-face?"

I groaned. "You're never going to drop that, are you?"

He shook his head. "Not unless you absolutely despise it and want to kill me everytime I say it."

"I wouldn't go that far." I teased as we both stopped in front of Cierra's door and I knocked.

The door opened by itself and I saw Cierra put her wand down from her seat on the rug, with everyone else in their seats too.
