Kathy's POV

I jogged around the astronomy tower, jogging in place as I considered jogging all the way up the stairs for the view, when I suddenly heard footsteps behind me and turned around hurriedly, wand immediately held tightly at my side.

"Katherine." Damon greeted me, jogging in place with a small smile on his face. Damon Lovegood? Jogging? Well, there's something you don't see everyday. I put my wand away.

I looked at him curiously while I continued jogging in place.

"What are you doing here?" I asked him.

"Well, I wanted to get a nice morning view." He shrugged.

"You know it'll still be about 15 minutes before the sun rises, right?"

"I wasn't talking about that view." He winked at me. Please. Corny, much? "I really like the way those pants fit you." Never mind. Not corny. Just horny.

"Right." I rolled my eyes, and began jogging inside the astronomy tower just to escape him. I have to win this bet. I won't win if you're standing right here and look... well... the way you look.

"Why are you running, Granger? Are you scared of me?" He mocked.

"Please. Of course not. I don't know if you know this, but I run every morning. For at least 30 minutes." I said as I tried to control my breathing as I jogged up the stairs.

"I know. Trust me." He told me through ragged breaths as he jogged behind me. How does he know? I don't exactly brag about it, or tell people, really.

"Stop talking. Control your breathing to keep up your stamina." I advised him and he nodded, jogging in place for a minute to get his breathing under control.

We continued jogging up the stairwell and when I finally got to the top of the tower, I drank some water, enjoying the taste of it. Damon came stumbling up, heavily breathing and sweating. He's so not used to this.

"You don't... mind, do you?" He asked as he took my water from my hand and drank almost all of it.

"I do. But whatever." I rolled my eyes and took the nearly empty bottle from him.

"How do you... do this... every fucking day?" He asked me, trying to get control of his breathing. I laughed lightly, leaning on the Astronomy tower's railing.

"Practice." I responded simply.

"And you do this alone? Everyday?" He asked me, walking up next to me.

"I mean... yeah. Back home, Mami goes with me. Every morning except Sundays." I laughed a little at the memory. "She hates it. Loathes. But she does it because... because I like it. You know? She always finds a way to spend time with us, Papi too." I explained. "With Papi, before dinner time we would go into the library room and sit on the bay window and just read, as the sun set, then the light hits beautifully." I smiled, recalling the memory. "You know, Papi did that. He built my Mami a library room because she loves reading, Papi always says he discovered his love of reading from Mami when he was 13. It's beautiful. The room's big, full of all types of books, wizarding books, fantasy, science fiction, romance, mystery." I caught Damon staring at me as I spoke and looked away. "I'm rambling. Sorry."

"No. It's fine. Keep talking. I want to know more." He said, leaning on the railing beside me. I nodded.

"Well, the whole room's beautiful, honestly. The walls are this orange color, but not an annoying orange, more of an orange that when the light from the sun hits it, it radiates throughout the whole room and brightens everything up. The bookshelves are made out of Mahogany wood and so the room always smells great, especially when mixed with the scent of a fresh book." I smiled as I saw the library room in my mind. It's my favorite room in the whole house. "But the beauty of the library room isn't just in it's aesthetic, it's the fact that Papi built it for her. Just for her. And he built the house, for her, for our family."
