Chapter 2: Secrets

*2 weeks later*

Ric's POV

I rolled my eyes and flipped her off when Cierra smacked the back of my head after winking at a Hufflepuff girl, Vanessa Bridges, that passed by our compartment. Yes they're sensitive, but so what? That just means they'll scream my name x10 louder.

I smiled when Albus sat next to me in the train compartment and quickly did my handshake with him and Hugo, all three of us being really good friends.

"So. This break. Fucking crazy." Al said with a smile on his face as all of my other friends sat with us, some of us on top of each other just to make space since there were so many of us, and there's no bloody chance in hell we're sitting in different compartments.

"I'm still surprised we weren't caught." Hugo said as he placed his head on my lap and his legs on Al's, getting comfortable to nap.

"Speak for yourselves." Damon grumbled as he came inside the compartment door. Immediately something in the air shifted as he glanced and nodded at everyone, but his glance wavered on my sister. As did hers on him. I cleared my throat and they both seemed to snap out of it, Kathy returning to her book and Damon sitting directly across from her.

"We only got caught because you had to open your bloody mouth." Nova scolded, reaching down to hug each of us, even Cierra, who cringed at the affection.

"Not true. Mom is fucking psychic, she said she could sense the lie in our aura or some crap, and I had to tell her." Damon defended himself.

"You didn't have to. You just like ruining shit for me." Nova rolled her eyes and leaned her head on her brother's shoulder, but Damon just pushed her off. What the fuck. I'd do anything for her to touch to linger over me. Any part of me. Even if it was my shoulder. She smacked his arm and leaned down on his shoulder again, and this time he didn't move. I almost wished he did, so I could offer up my shoulder.

"Hey losers." We all looked up and saw Fred and Roxy walk in. Cierra and I glanced between Fred and Kathy, checking in on our sister, but she did nothing except smile at Roxy. She got up and crashed into her, both of them kissing each other on the cheek.

"Hi babes, I fucking missed you. I barely got to see you in the Poconos." Roxy complained in the soft voice she only uses with Kathy. A voice that everyone but myself somehow loves.

"I missed you more. I'm sorry, I guess I got..." She glanced at Fred quickly before turning back to Roxy. "Distracted."

"Really? With what?" Damon interrupted the conversation and Kathy glared at him.

"Reading." She responded easily and he chuckled before taking her book from her hands and glancing at the front and back.

"New Moon? Seriously?" Damon scoffed and placed the book on her seat, across from him. "That's bullshit."

"As if you read." Nova jumped into the conversation and took an opportunity to tease her brother.

"I saw the movie." He replied and all of us laughed. "And it's complete trash. So I'm assuming your book is too. I mean... romance and depression and he leaves her cuz he thinks it's better, all of it is just bleh." Damon scoffed.

"Shut up Damon." Kathy rolled her eyes.

"Make me." Damon teased her and everyone kept quiet at the tension building between the two. I always defend my sister, all the time, but this teasing is normal for them, Damon's a big flirt and we all know it, but Kathy hates it so he flirts with her. Just to piss her off. Kathy took out her wand and muttered the silencing hex, making Damon utter words but no sound came out, and we all laughed.
