Diary,

Today's the Last Ball for me, while my siblings have the masquerade and as you guys have made explicitly clear, we have to go.

If you want to live vicariously through us so fucking badly, why the fuck don't you go?! Why do we have to be the ones to dress up in fancy, expensive clothes, fill our faces with makeup, take hours on our hair, and plaster a fake smile on our faces? You want it so badly? You do it.

Fucking assholes.

For today's stupid prompt "What's something that makes life worth living for?"

My siblings. They'll never admit it, but they need me. Almost as much as I need them.

Don't you dare tell them I said that.

I'm happy.

I know I still get nightmares (with no help from you bastards by the way) and tremors and everything but, I'm happy overall.

I'm at a really good place.

Because I have him. I mean... after years of waiting I finally do.

Albus Severus Potter.

Isn't his name just perfect?

He's perfect. He's my best friend, and now my boyfriend.

I thought that would seem odd to say, or write, but it isn't.

I love the sound of it. And I love how it looks when written on a piece of parchment.

And today's the bloody ball you're making us go to.

I hate this crap but this time, at least I have him.

But please, help my sisters. I know they're not doing as well as I am. I may have a scar on my face but they have something much worse, they have scars on the inside, those don't heal fast, if ever. So help them.

By Merlin please help them, or else.

Tonight's the masquerade ball. The big gala event of the year.

And tomorrow we're supposed to go back home, it's supposed to be our final day. Everyone will cry and hug goodbye and promise to write though they often don't.
