"Pack all your things there, Jordyn Addison and come home immediately!" Her Kuya Jordan texted her.
Kanina pa ito tumatawag sa kan'ya ngunit hindi n'ya iyon magawang sagutin. She was scared to hear how, once again, disappointed her brother to her. Because for sure, he already knew what happened to her. Takot siya sa maaari nitong gawin hindi lang sa kanya kundi pati na rin kay Caius.
"Who's that?" Caius suddenly spoke behind her.
Right after her meeting with the higher ups. Shan immediately drove her to Caius' house which was quite surprising for her but she chose not to give comment anymore. She was already too tired to even speak. And now that she calmed down from what happened, that's when she received a text from her brother. Pakiramdam n'ya tuloy ay napagod na naman siya.
"Si Kuya, pinapauwi na ako," she answered.
Sa totoo lang ay ayos lang naman kung uuwi na sya, tapos nya naman na ang mga requirements n'ya at hindi na rin naman n'ya magagawang bumalik pa sa university. Masyado na siyang nasaktan para bumalik pa run.
"Galit ba siya?" He asked, hugging her from behind.
She nodded, not wanting to lie. Mas okay nang alam nito ang totoo para mapag-isipan nila kung ano ang kanilang gagawin. "Alam na n'ya siguro ang nangyari."
"Kailan tayo uuwi?" Tanong naman agad nito.
"Sasama ka?"
Caius turned her around to make her face him and cupped her cheeks. "I already told you that I will be at your side whatever it is that you need to face, right?"
Tumango naman siya. "But it's my family, Caius. Si Kuya, siguradong galit na galit iyon," sabi naman n'ya.
"The more that I need to come with you. I will talk to your brother," he said.
Agad naman siyang umiling. "Ako na lang muna, Caius. Kilala ko ang kapatid ko, alam kong hindi siya marunong makakilala kapag galit na galit na sya," sabi nya.
Caius shook his head as well. "Hindi, Jordyn. Gusto kong nandun ako. Bahala na kung sapakin ako ng kapatid mo, tatanggapin ko. Alam kung kulang pa iyon para sa lahat ng nawala sa'yo," sabi naman nito.
Mapait naman siyang napangisi sa sinabi nito. Her reputation was stained because of what happened, she was also stripped of her Latin Honor--the fruit of her hard work. And Olive, she lost a dear friend because she chose to hate her before hearing her explanation. But she couldn't do anything about those anymore and she don't think she still have any energy to deal further as well. Bahala na lang sa ngayon at kailangan n'ya pang harapin ang kanya pamilya.
"Galit na galit si Kuya. Baka itakwil n'ya na ako bilang kapatid," sabi n'ya.
Caius held her hand and it glanced at her as he drove their way back home. "I don't want you to think that I'm liking the idea but baby, if that happens, will you live with me?" He asked.
"Hindi ba magagalit ang daddy mo? Si Tita Lucille?" She worriedly asked.
"They won't. Van will surely help us," sagot naman nito.
And with the mere mention of her bestfriend's name, she suddenly missed her even more.
"I miss her," she said.
Caius smiled. "She misses you too. Lagi n'ya akong kinukulit kung nahanap na raw ba kita," sagot naman nito.
"Have you told her about us?" She asked then.
He shook her head. "I'm waiting 'till you're ready to meet them. Kahit gusto kong iyabang sa kanila na akin ka na ay hindi ko magawa. Alam kung ayaw mo pa silang makaharap at ayaw kong pangunahan ka," sagot nito.
Napangiti naman siya. "They will be surprised to see us together. Lalo na si Van, pangarap nun ang maging mag kapatid kami, e."
"That will happen. Magiging mag kapatid na kayo at malapit na iyon," sagot naman nito.
Natawa na lang siya at hindi na sumagot. Caius told her to sleep for she regain her energy and she did. Itutulog na lamang n'ya ang kabang buong maghapon na niyang nararamdaman. Ginising na lamang siya nito ng makapasok na sila sa loob ng subdivision nila.
"We're here, baby..." Caius announced. Nagsimula na namang tumambol tuloy ang puso n'ya. Nanlalamig ang buong katawan n'ya ng bumaba na siya ng sasakyan.
"Natatakot ako," she can't help but to voice out.
Caius held her hand and squeezed it. "I'm here, baby." Sabi nito.
Alangan man ay ngumiti na lamang siya rito. Humugot pa siya ng malalim na hininga bago tuluyang pumasok ng kanilang bahay.
Sa salas ay naabutan n'ya ang hindi mapakaling Ate Michelle n'ya. Agad s'ya nitong sinalubong nito ng nag aalalang yakap.
"I heard what happened, Jordyn. Ayos ka lang ba?" Tanong nito. Tumango naman siya rito at ngumiti ng bahagya.
"Ayos lang ako, Ate. Hindi mo na kailangang mag-alala," ani n'ya.
Tumango rin naman ito at napa-buntong-hininga. Tapos ay tumingin sa kasama n'ya.
"This is Caius, Ate. My boyfriend. Caius, ang Ate Michelle ko, Kuya Jordan's wife," pakilala n'ya sa dalawa.
Caius immediately extended his hand for a shake hand that Michelle took without inhibitions. "Good evening, Ma'am. I am pleased to meet you and I'd also like to apologise that we have to meet in this kind of situation," sabi nito.
Michelle nodded. "I don't mind whatever situation it is, Caius. What matters most for me is Jordyn's welfare. Her brother was so furious after learning of the scandal she's involved with at the University. I beg you to fix this, I know it was only you who could do that," she said.
"Ate..." Jordyn called her, touched from what she heard from her sister-in-law.
"You don't have to ask me that, Ma'am. I'm actually here to talk to her brother. I want to tell him my good intentions for her sister. I'm very much in love with Jordyn and I'm more than willing to do everything for her," Caius said.
Mas lalo naman siyang naiyak sa mga narinig n'ya sa dalawa. Na sa lahat ng mga nangyari, hindi n'ya inakala na kahit papaano ay may ka-swertehan pa rin siyang nakuha.
"Nasaan si Kuya, Ate?" She asked, so eager to get the night straight and over.
"Nasa study n'ya. Doon ka raw hihintayin, gusto n'yo bang samahan ko pa kayo?"
She shook her head and hold on Caius' hand. "Hindi na, Ate. Kami na lang. Magpahinga ka na, pasensya na at pinag-alala na naman kita," ani n'ya rito.
Agad naman itong umiling. "Hindi mo kailangang humingi ng pasensya, Jordyn. Kapatid ka ng asawa ko at tunay na kapatid na rin ang turing ko sa'yo. Hindi ako mapakali lalo na't alam kung may hindi magandang nangyayari sa'yo," sagot naman nito.
Agad n'ya naman itong inakap at nag pasalamat sa pag mamahal na ibinibigay nito sa kan'ya.
After that, they headed straight to her brother's study room. Isang katok ang ibinigay niya bago tuluyang makapasok. Ngunit hindi pa man sila tuluyang nakakaapak sa loob ay napaatras na agad siya sa tanawing nakita n'ya.
She could feel how tight Caius held her hand but her mind suddenly went haywire and she couldn't think anymore.
Ayaw niya nang tumuloy. Hindi niya kayang pumasok. Pakiramdam niya ay hindi siya makakahinga pag pumasok siya sa loob.
Because in front of them was Maverick who was having a talk with her brother before they came.
