Maverick's laugh echoed inside the room. "Fucking traitor," he mocked after. "I knew you were like that, silently praying that we'll break up so you'll have a chance," he added.

"Shut up, Maverick. Caius has nothing to do with our break up," she immediately spat, not wanting him to speak more.

"He has, Jordyn! Tignan mo kung na kanino ka ngayon? Sa taong naging dahilan ng paghihiwalay natin noon," sumbat naman nito.

Natawa naman siya sa sinabi nito. "We broke up because you cheated on me, Maverick! Not because Caius intervened!" she said. "Let me remind you how I caught you fucking that girl classmate of yours and how you blamed me for that! Tangina! Ikaw na nga ang nahuli kong may sine-sex na ibang babae tapos kasalanan ko pa? Ang galing mo rin," she added.

She honestly doesn't want to go back with that issue, but Maverick asked for it and she won't let him blame Caius for their break up.

"He what?' her brother butted in.

"You heard what I said, Kuya. Don't make me repeat it again because it's still disgust me," she answered. Umirap pa siya kay Maverick at binalingan si Caius na nakatingin lang din sa kan'ya. She smiled at him and touched his face.

"Huy, Jordyn! Hindi pa ako tapos sa inyo!" her Kuya then said to them pero hindi na niya ito pinansin lalo na nang daluhan sila ng Ate Michelle n'ya at sabihing lumabas na sila para gamutin ang mga sugat nito.

"Doon muna siguro kayo sa kwarto mo, Jorge," her sister-in-law said.

"Baka magalit si Kuya, Ate," alangan niyang sagot.

"Don't mind him, ako na ang bahala sa kan'ya mamaya. Pumasok na lang kayo roon at dadalhan ko na lang kayo ng pang gamot sa mga sugat n'ya," pilit pa nito kaya sumunod na lang din sila.

She opened the door for her room and guided him inside. Agad n'ya itong pinaupo sa kan'yang kama, Caius on the other hand, roamed his sight around.

"Ang linis ng kwarto mo," komento nito.

Natawa naman s'ya. "Inaalagaan parin kasi nila itong kwarto ko kahit madalang naman akong umuwi rito," she answered.

Caius nodded. "Ang sakit ng katawan ko, lalo na ng mukha ko," ani nito bigla.

Nawala naman agad ang ngisi n'ya at napalitan ng awa. She reached for his face and carefully touched it, afraid that she'd inflict more pain to him. "You look like a beaten tomato," she muttered. "I'm sorry. Kuya went overboard."

Caius shook his head and held her hand that's on his cheek and kissed it. "These are nothing, baby. I'll do everything for you," sagot nito. "Kiss mo na lang ako para mawala 'yung sakit," lambing naman nito.

Napanguso naman siya. "Mahal kita," she said, giving him a peck on his lips.

Caius smiled and reached for her cheeks to caress it. "Mahal na mahal din kita," sagot nito.

They were in that position when her Ate Michelle come back and see them. Agad naman silang umayos pero nginitian lamang sila nito. May dala ito medicine kit at palanggana na may lamang tubig at bimpo.

"Salamat, Ate. Ako na rito," salubong nya at agad na kinuha ang dala nito.

Tumango naman ito at hinayaan siya. "Sabihin n'yo lang kung may kailangan pa kayo, ha?"

"Sige, Ate. Salamat," ani n'ya.

Caius said his thanks as well before Michelle finally went off. Pagkalabas nito ay agad niyang sinimulan ang paglilinis ng mga sugat ni Caius. She was sitting at her vanity chair while he was in her bed.

"You'll surely look like an Ube halaya tomorrow," she commented as she wiped his face with a towel damped with warm water.

Caius shrugged. "I don't worry about that, baby. But your brother will surely get mad knowing that I'm inside your room," he said.

She shrugged as well. "Bahala na si Ate Michelle sa kan'ya. Hindi naman iyon u-obra sa asawa nya," sagot naman n'ya.

Caius sighed and held her both hands, caressing both. "Maverick cheated on you? Is that why you left?" he asked.

"I caught him having sex with your girl classmate, her name is Eureka? If I remember it correctly. But I didn't leave because of that, I left because I'm guilty. My dad died because of me and I'm blaming myself for that... until now," she answered.

"It's not your fault," Caius said, shaking his head.

"It is, Caius. I made him worry about driving a car away without them knowing and he had an attack when he found out that I met with an accident. It was entirely my fault. I chose Maverick over my sick father, not knowing the consequences of my recklessness," she said.

"I should have chosen you over him. Hindi mo sana naranasan ang lahat," he said.

"If you did, I won't learn. I regret being juvenile but I never regret all the lessons I learned from those. At least natuto ako, ayos na iyon. Hindi ko na uulitin ulit," sagot n'ya.

Caius smirked and pulled her, making her seat on his lap. "At sa atin, may pag sisisihan ka ba? I stained your reputation, your friend hated you and you were stripped off of your Latin Honor. Pinag sisisihan mo bang minahal mo ulit ako?" he asked.

"The only thing I regret is we don't wait. We can't deny that we are wrong in that; we were reckless. We let our feelings overrule us. But I don't think I will regret loving you," she answered, cupping both of his cheeks.

Caius nodded. "I'm sorry for pushing you to commit that mistake. I'm really sorry I wasn't a better person."

She smiled. "What's important is that we know and we admit that we are wrong. And we learned from that mistake," she said. "And I never stopped loving you," she added.

Caius raised his brow. "How so when you fell in love with my best friend," he asked, sliding his arms inside her shirt and touching her skin.

She smiled. "I don't want to deny and regret that I did. But one thing's for sure, nag mahal man ako ng iba, sa huli ay sa'yo parin ako babalik. Caius, ikaw iyong pag-ibig na hinding-hindi mawawala at paulit-ulit kong babalikan kahit gaano man kahirap ang pag daanan ko," sagot n'ya.

"It's sad to know that you loved someone else but that doesn't matter anymore. Kuntento na ako na ako na ang mahal mo ngayon. Na sa huli ay akin ka parin uuwi," sabi naman nito.
