Through winning the Prom Queen, Jordyn slowly builds a personality far from what she has known. If someone would ask about her, the first thing people would tell them is "Jordyn, iyong Prom Queen?" She was happy because of that, finally, she will never tag as "Jordyn, iyong na-buntis kuno ni Maverick?" That's the grossest among all the gross things she would be known for.

But that doesn't help her get closer to Caius.

"Kumalma ka nga, Jorge!" Van scolded her. Irita na sa mga pinagsasasabi n'ya.

Paano kasi, ilang linggo na lang ay graduation na at ibig sabihin noon ay malapit nang umalis si Caius sa school nila. Pinag sisisihan na naman tuloy n'ya na ipinanganak siya ng tatlong taong huli rito. Na kung ipinanganak lamang sila ng sabay, siguro, kahit papaano ay madali na lang ang makalapit siya dito.

"How can I calm down, Van! Three weeks na lang at graduation na nila at ni hindi man lang ako makalapit sa kan'ya kahit minsan!" ungot n'ya sa kaibigan.

"Wala ka nang magagawa run ano. Kung gusto mo, mag transfer ka na lang sa school na papasukan n'ya next school year," sagot nito.

Bigla naman ay niyakap n'ya ang kaibigan dahil sa sinabi niyo. "Ang talino mo talaga, Van! Bakit hindi ko naisip 'yun agad?" she asked herself.

"Puro kasi landi 'yang nasa utak mo," sagot naman nito sa kan'ya.

Ngumuso naman siya tapos ay yumakap sa braso nito. "Alam mo na ba kung saan siya mag aaral ng college?" uto n'ya rito.

Van shook her head. "Hindi ko pa alam. Pero kung gusto mong malaman agad, ask Mave. For sure, mag kakasama silang mag kakaibigan sa isang University."

"Eh, paano kung yung pasukan nilang College ay walang high school?" tanong n'ya.

"Edi, maghintay ka hanggang maging college ka na rin," sagot nito.

"Graduating na rin sila bago pa mangyari 'yun," sagot rin n'ya. Nakasimangot.

"Kaya nga kung gusto mo talagang matupad yung pangarap mo, ngayon palang, kumilos ka na. May three weeks ka pa," sagot naman ng kaibigan n'ya.

She felt hopeless but she doesn't want to give up. Ang tagal-tagal na niyang pinapangarap si Caius, ngayon pa ba siya susuko? No freaking way!

So, from that day, she did everything she could to the extent that even at the senior's graduation ball, she crashed in. Wearing their usherettes' clothes, she roamed around the event's venue, looking for a certain person, the reason why she volunteered there.

"Nakita mo na ba?" she asked Van. Isinama n'ya kasi to sa pag volunteer and Van, being the supportive best friend, agreed on her plans.

"Oo. Nandun siya sa table eight, malapit sa veranda," sagot nito sa kan'ya.

She nodded at Van and left her, telling her that she'll go find Caius. Agad niyang tinungo ang sinabi ng kaibigan at hindi naman siya nabigo. She saw him sitting with his friends, laughing over some silly jokes Grant was saying.

With all the confidence she gathered the past weeks, she stepped closer the group, ready to confess her feelings. Dalawa lang naman ang kailangan niyang gawin, ang tawagin si Caius at dalhin doon sa lugar kung saan pwede silang mag-usap na dalawa. From there, she will tell him her feelings. Umamin siya rito na gusto n'ya ito, sana lamang ay parehas sila ng nararamdaman.

But Maverick always has his ways to ruin her plans. Bigla na lamang itong sumulpot sa kanyang gilid tapos ay hinatak siya papunta sa gitna ng dance floor.

"Ano na naman ba, Maverick?" singhal n'ya rito.

"Anong plano mo ha? Bakit ka papunta sa mesa namin?" tanong rin naman nito.

She rolled her eyes at him and pushed him a bit. But Maverick held her firmly. "Wala ka na run. Bitawan mo nga ako," singhal n'ya pa.

Maverick smirked at her then pulled her closer. Halos nakadikit na sa labi nito ang kanyang noo. "I always watched you and I know where your gazes lingers," ani nito. Swaying their body a bit.

"Ano naman sayo, ha!" sagot naman n'ya, still trying to get free from his arms.

"Hindi ka o-obra run, Jordyn. Hindi ka n'ya magugustuhan," sabi pa nito sa kanya.

"How dare you?" she pushed him away, pinakawalan din naman siya nito. "Ang gago mo," sabi n'ya tapos ay tinalikuran ito. Pero hindi man siya nakakalayo ay sinundan na agad siya nito, he held her on her elbow and pulled her towards the venue's balcony.

"Ano ba?! Hindi mo ba ako titigilan?" she shouted at him, slapping away his hand.

Maverick shook his head. "Tigilan mo na habang maaga pa. I'm telling you, he will never like you the same way you're feeling for him. Hinding-hindi ka n'ya pipiliin," sabi pa ulit nito sa kan'ya.

"At sino ka para sabihin 'yan? Ikaw ba sya? Alam mo ba ang nararamdaman n'ya?" she asked, getting really angry.

"Sino ako? Best friend n'ya. And Caius will never choose a girl over his best friend. Lalo na 'yung babaeng gustong-gusto ng bestfriend nya," sagot nito, pulling her again.

"Ang kapal mo," all she could say.

Maverick laughed; she could feel the vibration of his laughter from his chest. "Is that how you react towards someone who confessed his feelings to you?" tanong nito.

She shook her head and pushed him. She stepped forward, giving at least half meter distance between them. "Hindi kita gusto," sabi n'ya rito ng diretso.

"I know," Maverick answered while nodding. "But I won't stop until you feel the same for me," dagdag pa nito.

"Hindi rin ako titigil hanggang hindi n'ya rin ako nagugustuhan, Maverick," sagot n'ya.

"We'll see. But one thing I can guarantee you, he will never like you. He will never choose you over me," sabi naman nito sa kanya.

She wanted to smash his face, kick him, and push down the balcony. But she stopped herself and gave him a smirk instead. She even stepped forward and leaned on him, making her lips almost touch his ears. "Try me, Maverick. You don't know what exactly I can do," sabi n'ya tapos ay iniwan na itong mag-isa sa balcony.

But to her surprise, the moment she turned her back on Maverick and stepped outside the balcony, a pair of almond eyes met hers. Nakakunot ang noo nito habang nakatingin sa kanilang dalawa ni Maverick. Parang na tulos na kandila naman siya sa kinatatayuan n'ya, she couldn't move or speak.

"What's happening here?" tanong nito.

"'Nothing, dude. I just confessed," Maverick answered from behind her, sliding its hand in her waist. "Finally, I was able to tell her my feelings," dagdag pa nito.

Caius saw that. He watched Maverick's hands as it rested on her waist.

His jaw clenched.
