"The news do be saying something"Courtney said while standing in front of the T. V, looking at it with her arms folded. We were in my house, hanging out eating pizza and ice cream. There was a round table discussion of Lincoln and I on the news. I couldn't even tell her to turn it off. I was tired of hearing everything about us. A video of Lincoln was played saying we were truly over, affirming his marriage to Louise.

That hurt. I won't lie.

"Official wife"Courtney said. "Ain't they supposed to get the memo?"

"Turn that off or change it"I said, not wanting to hear anymore of that. "I'm sick and tired of hearing that"I said, laying on the couch. "One minute I'm out and everyone recognizes me as Lincoln Tennyson's girlfriend. Not for my work. Just Lincoln"

"Well you've gained more popularity"She said. "It's a good thing for your dance classes, your brand..."

"The only thing I'm concerned about is my ride coming in today"

I have a lot going on too. I'm busy too. You know what? fuck it"she angrily said, taking her phone. "Now that I think about all the bullshit I've tolerated"she said with her phone in her ear.

"You're not about to break up over a phone call"I said, getting up.
