Anna's P. O. V.
I watched Mrs Tennyson adjust her bag, taking out her phone. I was laid on the bed with my back on the headboard. Lincoln was looking out the window, not saying a word. I turned around to watch my baby sleep peacefully on the little bed beside me.

"Can you take smoothies?"I heard Miranda ask, walking towards me. "I got you one"

"Thank you but I don't want a smoothie"I smiled.

"Okay"she said with a wry smile, walking towards Lincoln.

Lincoln objected to taking a DNA test. I insisted. He kept saying he wasn't going to do a DNA test. He almost got upset with me but I insisted. We were all here waiting to see what the doctor has to say.

"Mr Tennyson"We heard the doctor say, stepping in. "Good afternoon"he greeted with a smile. "Here is your DNA test"He smiled, handing it to Lincoln.

For a second my heart kept beating uncontrollably.

I didn't sleep with anybody else.

"He's your child"The doctor smiled, before Lincoln could open the envelope given to him.

"Thank you"Lincoln said. He smiled a little, watching the doctor walk away. He turned to his mum, a smile on his face. An angry smile, precisely.

"Satisfied mum?"Miranda asked, throwing the smoothie cup in the waste bin . "Anna will never be who you think she is"she added. "I don't wanna ever talk to you"She said, walking away.

"I guess that's settled"She said.

"That's settled?"I thought out loud. I couldn't hide my disgust. She looked at me waiting for me to talk but I was too angry to speak. I looked at Lincoln whose eyes were on the baby. I focused my attention on her, watching her have a "resting bitch face" on.
I lowly laughed, looking at my baby. I didn't want to seem offensive.

I hate that I'm too polite.

"I understand the test was necessary"she said, looking at me.

"Leave"Lincoln said, looking at her. "Leave mum. I don't wanna call security"He said.

"Call security on me? I'll have them in jail for that"she dared, looking at him.

"The hell? Stop this" I said to Lincoln. She's his mum.

"Lincoln"I called, hoping he'd listen to my voice.

"It feels weird calling you mum right now"he said, walking towards me. He sat beside me, watching the baby in the little bed. He cupped the cheeks of our baby with a wry smile on.

I looked at him, trying to suppress his anger. I knew he was pissed. Even more than I was.

She quietly walked away, putting on her sunglasses. I touched his arm looking at him.

"I'm even more pissed you agreed to do a DNA test"he said, looking at me. "You kept insisting"

"I know"

I wanted to prove her wrong duhh.

"There was no point"

"There wasn't"

"I know you'd never lie to me about that"

"You're right"

"Are you just going to agree with me? You always argue with me"

"Not every time"

"Good you're doing it right now"he said, making me laugh.

"She's just being a mum"I forced myself to say.
