I keep rolling on the bed, trying to go back to sleep. I just couldn't. I kept thinking about yesterday and how I broke up with Lincoln.

Are we really over? It feels like a dream.

I sighed frustratedly, standing to my feet to go get coffee in the kitchen since I can't sleep anymore. Might as well be up.

"Hey"I heard Courtney's voice as soon as I entered the kitchen. She was seated on the counter eating pancakes.

"Courtney"I said, surprised to see her. "I thought you went home"

"After what happened yesterday, couldn't leave you all by yourself"

"Very funny"I said with a sad laugh. "I'm good. I'm okay"

"He's an asshole"

"But if we're being reasonable... he didn't want his dad's company to get sold"I said, taking a mug.

"He had to get married to his ex. How reasonable is that?"

"I don't wanna talk about it"I said with a chuckle. "Lincoln's a billionaire. I am just a regular independent lady who works hard for everything. She's perfect for him if you think about it. They both understand how big money matters work"I said with a loud laugh remembering Lincoln saying something similar like that to me.

I can't forget that.

"He deserves better. Well..."I paused walking towards the sink, putting water in a kettle. "Now he has someone better"

"Don't say that. That bitch is crazy"

"You know the only thing I'm thinking of right now is Sasha's fundraiser. I missed that and I really wanted to donate for her"

"She said she was gonna come see you though. I told her you were back"

"I just wanna order pizza and watch a movie. I'm fine Courtney. I will be. You don't have to worry"

"Not surprised"she said, stuffing some pancakes in her mouth.

"He likes you. Everyone saw it. Well I don't think you did"

"That's weird bruh"I said, putting the kettle on the gas cooker. "I can't"

"Common... the day we went swimming"she said, waiting for me to remember.
