Andreas POV;

"Bye, babe. I can't wait to see the designs!" I hung up my call with Lexi, brimming with happiness.

There will be a mafia ball in two weeks, so obviously I need the perfect dress, and who else can help me but my bestie. Perks of having an awsome bestie.

I just got Lexi to agree to design a customized dress for both me and my mom, including two matching masks.

Since most of us don't show our faces in these gathering, we wear masks, for safety purposes.

But ofcourse, this only applies to the females, since they are the ones who are deemed as weak (eyeroll) by most men in the mafia. If only they saw Lexi fight.

I hope she comes to this years ball. She stopped attending them eversince her mom died, and even before that not many knew who she was.

"Ouch!" Well, thats awkward. I just bumped into the antique vase on the second floor, while immersed in my thoughts.

"Si spera che nessuno l'abbia visto! (Hopefully nobody saw that!)

I hurriedly ran down stairs to find my mom. I entered the sitting room to find mom sprawled on her back reading a fashion magazine, probably not even remembering about the ball.

My brother was shouting something at one of his subordinates near the full length window, not that I bothered to know what he was talking about.

"Mom, ti sei dimenticato del ballo mafioso, che tra l'altro, è tra due settimane! (did you forget about the mafia ball, which by the way, is in two weeks!)" I shouted loudly as I neared where mom was.

"Ah, Ho quasi dimenticato. Alessandro, perché non mi hai ricordato tutto questo? (I almost forgot. Alessandro, why didn't you remind me all this while?)"

Big brother rolled his eyes at mom, before replying. "Mamma, ci sono ancora due intere settimane! (Mom, there is still two whole weeks!)"

"Two weeks is BARELY any time. DO YOU KNOW HOW HARD IT'S GONNA BE TO GET A DRESS NOW?"

I almost laughed at my brothers predicament, before deciding to help him out. "Mom, your worries are no longer necessary."

My mom gave me a questioning look. "Elaborate?"

"Didn't you say that you love designs from L&M?" I gave a light chuckle as I asked my mom.

"Young lady! Stop keeping me in suspense, otherwise I'll make your brother take you for training!" I gulped at that, while my brother also froze.

Neither of us like me being in the training grounds. Lets just say, I bring disaster.

"Ok, ok." I shouted hurriedly. "You remmember my mysterious bestie. Lets just say she has connections to L&W. Before you say anything, I already told her I won't take the dresses for free."

My mom held back her complaint after my last sentence. " Since I'm pretty certain you don't plan to let us meet this friend of yours anytime soon, thank her on our behalf."

"Will do mom." I sighed at the fact that I can't tell them about Lexi just yet.
