CHAPTER 8: it's him 2

Lexis POV;

I stared out the window of Café Dawn, immersed in my thoughts.

"принцесса, ты скучал по мне? Твой отец и старший брат определенно много работали, чтобы скрыть твои следы последние два года. Но наконец-то я снова тебя нашла! Подожди меня!"

(princess, did you miss me? Your father and big brother definitely worked hard to hide your traces the past two years. But, I've finally found you again! Do wait for me!)

His voice, his words, it keeps ringing in my head, again and again.

I let out a loud sigh as I slurped my hot chocolate.

"That would be the 15th sigh you let out since you got here." Right, I almost forgot Drea was here. I hadn't told her what happened on my way here.

"Care to tell me yet?" It's rare to see her being serious.

I didn't get to talk before she continued.

"Look, Alexis! There is obviously something that's bothering you." Drea took a deep breath, as she complained. "Please tell me what's wrong! You never, NEVER, hide anything from me.
per favore Lexi? (Please Lexi?)"

"I..I, he found me." I finally let it out, and believe me telling her made me feel like a boulder was lifted off of me.

"Before I got here, on the way to be more precise, his men showed up in front of me. They showed me a video from him. He said he's coming for me."

"WHAT?" Yaa, I expected that reaction, which would explain why I couldn't hold back a chuckle. You see, I really don't hide anything from her.

"This is no laughing matter young lady!" Drea shouted, earning us a few curious glances from other customers.

She didn't seem to mind tho, although she did reduce her volume this time. "Lexi, did he threaten you? When is he coming? Oh don't tell me , he is already here! Don't let me see that f**king bastard, I swear I.."

"Ok, ok, calm down!" I cut her of. She was getting way too excited, and not in a good way. "Don't worry too much. I'll be fine."

"But.."

"He is not here yet, and he won't be for sometime either." I explained, interrupting her from cursing again. "Before I came, I already told my brother everything that happened."

"What did he say?" Drea asked, a bit calm now.

"He wanted to make me have bodyguards around me 24/7, not that I agreed."

"How can you not agree? Although you're good at defending yourself, your emotions aren't always stable when it comes to him! You NEED people protecting you!"

Ok, my bestie usually never gets this angry, but it shows she cares about me. A sincere smile graced my face at her concern. But I had to explain my reasons tho.

"You know I would never play around with my life! Also do you think my brother would have agreed to let me off, without bodyguards so easily, if not for having another reason?"

"No?" Drea stated, still a bit unsure.

I let out another sigh, I bet I've never sighed as much as today, in the past 20 years of my life.

"D! My brother gave me another news when I called him." Drea perked up at my words. "Xander said that he seems to be active in Mexico, and it seems he is unable to leave for the time being!"

"No wonder only his men showed up here!" Drea exclaimed, understanding dawning on her.

"Right, did you know that the mafia ball has been delayed?"

"It has?" I wasn't really surprised at Dreas lack of knowledge. Her brother probably didn't tell her again.
