Alessandro's POV;

Only now did I realize we were no longer in the dilapidated room from before!

"You tricked me!" I gnashed my teeth while glowering at the hateful guy in front of me.

I can't believe I didn't realize we were moving so much during our fight! This is an insult to my reputation!

"You can't say that, now can you. It's not like I forcefully dragged you here."
Even if it was hard to see his expression through the mask covering his face, I was certain he was smirking.

"Heh..I'm guessing my prisoner is no longer where he is supposed to be. I really underestimated you!" I squinted my eyes at Z, before smirking. "That doesn't mean I can't get a new one right?"

"You want to imprison me?" Z stared at me calmly.

"Smart." I wasn't going to let this guy get the best of me. "You don't really think you could escape now right. Eventhough your good, you're still a far cry from me."

His eyes curved, showing he was actually smiling. What the f**k! This dude is too abnormal. We both know he's weaker than me!

"I never planned to continue fighting you though. After all, I know my own limits." Wait, what!

I didn't get to fully process what happened next. All I knew was the whole place suddenly fogged up with smoke, making my vision blur. Smoke bomb!!! Damn it!!

After the smoke dissipated, I didn't bother looking around anymore. I knew I lost to him...again!

My eyes still stung!

I left the place and met up with the rest of the men. The fight had ended by now. Casualties were high. I bet it would be for them as well.

"Boss, what should we do now? They took the spy with them, and our men also suffered. But, there are only three deaths."

I listened to James's report carefully. "Three is less than I expected, but it's a  good thing. Get everything related to this sorted out. Also, try to dig out more about Z".

Lexi's POV;

"How is it?" I asked the attending doctor of Liam, praying for a positive answer.

"His wounds are infected, and he was injured very badly." I clenched my fists. Although I had expected it, it still wasn't easy to listen to.

"But, he is out of danger, and we've had a successful surgery, so don't worry too much. He needs at least half a year of rest, but he'll get better."

The doctor patted my back before leaving me to myself. He was someone who knew my identity, which made things easier for me.

I was currently in our hospital located underground within our main base. Everone who were hurt during this mission were getting treatment, but no one was as hurt as Liam.

Even if I like fighting, I don't like seen innocents die like this. We had lost a total of five men. All I could do now is mourn for them.

Since Liam was still unconcious, I decided to visit my now cleaned room. Lying down on my huge bed, I cuddled with my pillows, straining a wound in the process. I hissed a little, before letting myself become more comfortable.

I wonder if Zandro is alright. Did he treat his wounds. I made sure they weren't too bad, but I can't help but feel so guilty having hurt him. I let my tears wet my pillows as I finally lost control.

I'll beg here for forgiveness from all my readers. So sorry for disappearing suddenly and not updating for so long. 😓
College stuff was piling up, and I couldn't get enough time for this. I'll still try updating as much as possible.
