Lexis POV;
We were all seated at the dining table of the Alfonsos. Fancy if I must say.
It seems the dinner starts when everyone is here, and the mob boss haven't come down yet.
Oh I spoke too soon. Alessandro and James entered the dinning room together.
Looking at James I felt a teeny weeny bit guilty.
"Hey mom." Alessandro gave a hug to his mother before sitting down in the seat in front of me. Guess they don't have a seating arrangement!
James sat right next to him, and since everyone got seated, the maids started bringing out the dishes.
There were various types of talks throughout the dinner. I took part in some of them as well. This family is really warm. Not what I expected.
Ok, I've been trying to ignore this, but why is Alessandro staring at me so much?
I raised my head and he was still staring. I forced a small smile at him, which he surprisingly returned. He looked good when he smiled.
I bet everyone at the table noticed how much Alessandro was staring my way. He couldn't possibly want more love advice right. Guy, I am not an expert in this!
"Ahem, people are really obvious in deeds now." Drea said while trying to hold in a laugh. It was obvious what she was referring to.
I kicked the stupid girl under the table, earning a slight grunt from her. But I couldn't possibly hit Mr. and Mrs. Alfonso who were also chuckling slightly. To make it even worse the damn mob boss across from me gave such a stupid answer.
"So what?" Dude, what do you think your doing. How can you go after your crush if you make them misunderstand.
I was shaking my head from the inside."Oh...right! What were you two doing together at the 2nd floor balcony, gazing ever so lovingly at each others eyes..hmm?" Stop trying to act like your actually curious Drea.
"Nothing much. We were just talking. Why didn't you show yourself if you came there. Didn't you say you wanted to play games?" I calmly answered Dreas question.
Reason you ask? To show we didn't do any unspeakable things she maybe making her parents imagine with her words.
But it seems I wasn't the only one who wanted to speak. I had seen Alessandro open his mouth to answer, but closed it since I answered faster. Why does he seem disappointed? I just helped you dude. After all, either your gay, or you have a girl you like. Don't worry I wont let people here misunderstand your relationship with me!
I was dragged out of my resolute thoughts as Drea spoke again. "Your no fun!" She went back to eating after that.
The main course pretty much ended without anymore shenanigans from Drea.We were having our deserts when my phone rang. I looked at the caller id and froze for a second, before returning my face to normal.
I cut the call, and got a message from the caller instead. I looked up at the table to see all eyes on me.
"Lucia, thank you for the warm welcome, and invite to stay the night, but I've got something to do urgently. It seems I won't be able to stay for the night." I addressed Lucia, while giving an embarrassed smile.
"Can't you finish whatever it is and come back?" I was surprised when Alessandro spoke before his mother had a chance to reply to me.
"Let him be Alexis. And it's fine sweetheart. Next time you come over, you have to stay over longer..hmm?"
"Haha, of course." I smiled at all of them, gave Drea and Lucia a hug and hurried out of the place.
Ooo...who was the call from? Check out in the next chapter!
