CHAPTER 32: can't forget we are enemies!

Lexi's POV;

When we finally got to my brother's office, it was a few minutes after my conversation with Harry, if it could be considered as one that is.

"Lexi...how are you taking the news? Are you up for this?" As soon as I entered the place, my brother came running at me, worry written all over his face. He knew how close Liam and I were. We've been bestest of friends ever since we were kids!

"I'm fine. I'm sure we'll get him back safe and sound!" I smiled at my brother, while trying to hide how I actually felt. I can't tell him how worried I actually am. A large part of the worry stemming from us having to go against Zandro.

I looked at the faces in the office room, noting that other than Harry, the second in command Benjamin and Chase, our best tracker and head of the technical department, I couldn't recognize the others.

Xander dragged me to take a seat on the couch, while telling Chase to explain the situation.

"Boss..it doesn't look good for Liam. According to our sources, it's been more than a day since Liam was caught, and knowing Alessandros ways, it's a surprise since he is still alive. Not just that..the fact that we ever so conveniently got new of his whereabouts..."

"Is suspicious!" I finished Harry's sentence for him, before looking at my brother. "Big brother..this?"

"It's just as you're thinking. This is a trap laid by Alessandro. Liam wouldn't spill anything, so Alessandro probably don't know who's man Liam is. If we wish to save Liam, this is a trap we have to willingly fall in to!"

As soon as my brother finished speaking, the already bleak atmosphere plunged deeper!

I let out a sigh before breaking the silence, "when do we leave?"

"Now!" My brother gave me a reassuring smile, before turning to give the men in the room various instructions.

Meanwhile, I left the office to go to my room, which was located on the same floor. Pressing my thumb on the finger print lock, I entered my room, which looked quite messy now. Other than me, only my mom used to have access to this room. Even my dad and brother can't enter the place.

I looked around the messy room before calling one of my trusted maids to help me clean the place. I would've done it myself, if I had enough time to spare.

After giving instructions to the maid, I went to another room to get changed into my usual attire in the mafia.

I looked at the my reflection in the mirror. Clad fully in black, with a custom made mask, I'm pretty sure I could pass of as a guy. Especially since I did my best to ensure my breasts doesn't show!

I left the room to meet up with my brother and the team we planned to take with us. Making certain my gun was secured in its holster, I responded to the greetings I got on the way.

It wasn't that surprising since, although my identity of Z was not known to all in the American mafia, many were still aware of it. Espeically the fact that I have more authority than even Benjamin. Although, only the trusted higher ups know the fact that I'm also the younger sister of their boss.

When I entered the large hall where the team was ready, I had already calmed my heart and mind. I can't forget that Alessandro and I are enemies. This is an undeniable fact.
Our cars left the forest, headed to where Liam is being held captive. Lets just hope, I don't personally have to face off Alessandro!
