Lexis POV;

I slumped hard on the concrete floor of one of the warehouses under our mafia.

As soon as we got the ruby, we fled here, after all the casualties were too great when fighting the Italian mafia. We couldn't have lingered any longer!

"Is my brother alright?" I asked one of our men who brought back big bro. He was injured badly!

Matter of fact, I may not have been able to get the ruby if Alessandro had caught up to me. My skills are limited after all.

It's a good thing he was too far away, and that I didn't slack in training despite everything the past two years.

"Harry, deliver the red ruby to my father, and inform him of the casualties. Also take good care of my brother, and let me know if anything important happens." I gave the order to Harry, someone my brother trusts and one of the higher ups of the mafia.

After ensuring there was nothing else that needed me to personally see through to here, I hurried back to my company.

I can't believe the sky is already dark. Time sure flies when you don't pay attention.

After checking everything at the company, and taking with me the neatly packed gowns for Drea and her mom, I took a cab back home.

Early next morning, I packed everything and anything I may need later at Dreas place for the dress fitting.

Picking up my colt python, I stared at it for a while before putting it back. It's not like I can pass through the doors of the Alfonso's with a gun, not even if I'm Dreas friend.

A pity really!

I got in my car and sped to Drea's house.
Or should I say, mansion! I couldn't stop that thought as I stared at the huge double gate.

Tch, I can't believe I was mesmerized by this place, it's not like mine is any worse, although I haven't been there in two years.

As I expected, the guards ran some security tests before guiding me inside the huge place.

"Lexiiii!!!! Your here!" I flinched as Drea came at me, shouting at the top of her lungs. She gave me a tight hug before taking me to a large room.

There was an elegant lady sitting on the couch, reading a magazine, I think. She was gorgeous if you ask me, like a slightly older version of Drea, just without the bubbly personality and a bit more grace.

As I entered the room, the lady, who I'm pretty certain, is Mrs. Alfonso, stood up with a friendly smile.

"Ah, you must be Alexis, Dreas friend. It's just lovely to meet you." Ok, how did I get entangled in another hug!

I gave Mrs. Alfonso a slight hello with a polite smile and nod, while also returning her sudden hug.

Guess I should greet the other person in the room as well.

I really tried ignoring the burning gaze from Alessandro Alfonso, which has been set on me from the moment I stepped in to the room. Weird!

He couldn't have recognized me from yesterday, could he?

I forced myself to smile as I turned toward the big boss in the room.

"Hello Mr. Alfonso. I've heard much about you from Drea."

I guess I can't say I was surprised when he didn't give a reply. But man, could you stop staring already.

Did he seriously recognize me? Gulp!
