CHAPTER 13: making a decision 2

Lexis POV;

"Alright then, I'll bring the dresses over for fitting to your place the day after tomorrow!"

After my call with Drea, I'm slightly regretting it.

I didn't tell her I may be fighting her people over a ruby tomorrow.

DANG! What if her brother sees me, that definitely cannot happen! I won't be able to go for the dress fitting at her place if her brother does see me.

I hurriedly texted my brother, telling him to prepare something to cover my face for tomorrow.

Checking how late it's got, I decided to retire for the night.

Lying on my comfy bed, I couldn't help the bubbling anticipation for tomorrow.

"Argh.." I groaned as I turned off my loud alarm. Looking out my bedroom window, I can see the sun is barely out.

Why the heck am I even awake at this time. The thought of going back to sleep jumped in my head.

Unlucky me tho, my phone rang before I could enter dreamland again.

Cursing out loud I picked up the call, without even checking the caller id.

"Hello!"

"Listening to how grumpy you sound, I take it that you've forgotten what today is?" My brothers sentence made me fully break free from my sleepiness.

"Damn!!" I hurriedly jumped out of bed, and turned to freshen up, still keeping the phone near my ear.

"A car will be waiting at the door of your apartment building, don't be late!"

My brother directly cut the call after giving the instructions. I'm guessing I pissed him off a bit.

By the time I was ready and wearing the gear brother had sent over before, 15 minutes had passed.

Not too late for a girl, right?

I hurriedly went downstairs, found the fancy car brother sent, and dove right in.

I didn't recognize the guy driving, so lets just say it was a quite ride.

Arriving at the port where the ruby was going to be delivered through, I was quite stunned.

The place may look normal, but the people moving around were definitely not those working at a port.

Despite trying to hide it, as someone with experience, I can see many men from both the American and Italian mafia in disguise.

This is going to be interesting.

As far as I heard the red ruby is being transported to a certain princess out there.

And, supposedly it is protected by some people from the government.

Hehe, if only those people knew there were two mafias lying in ambush.

I united with my brother halfway through the place. It seems we have our own hiding place here.

Seeing the faces of all these brothers of the mafia, I felt a sudden adrenaline rush, as I went to hug all of them.

"Ahh..your finally joining us to have some fun after so long!"

"We missed you Z!"

"Haha, wanna kick some ass like before?"

I couldn't laughing at the remarks. "I missed you guys too! Can't wait to have some fun tonight."

I joined in with the rest as we planned how to steal the ruby!
