What was that about? Ming Ran asked as they continued jogging.

Master Long Qian has asked us both to become her personal disciples, Little Xi said nonchalantly.

This piece of news shocked the two so much Wang Yifan actually stumbled. Ming Ran hurriedly helped him up while stuttering really?

Although I don't know who it was, She has only ever accepted one disciple since she became an elder. Ming Ran interjected.

She said it's because me and Fengyue had water elemental attributes. This made Yifan stumble again. I thought you were an earth attribute? he asked.

I am, little Xi answered.

You're a dual attribute? Asked Ming Ran, to which little Xi only smiled as he continued to jog faster.

To divert the conversation little Xi suddenly asked, Ming Ran you seem to know about my elder sister Fengyue?

Their clan is famous in alchemy. However they have been declining for centuries. Thus fifty years ago they decided to annex themselves and become part of the Divine Lotus sect. Ming ran answered.

How about that Shangguan Li? Little Xi asked.

If my guess is correct he is a remnant of the Shangguan clan who was exterminated by demonic cultivators ten years ago.

What? Little Xi asked in shock.

The Shangguan clan is another independent cultivator clan allied to the Tang clan. They too have been declining for centuries however, their pride did not allow them to become annexed to any sect. And sadly when demonic cultivators attacked them they were annihilated.

If the rumors are true then Shangguan Li must be a remnant of that vlan, Ming Ran finished.

Hearing this news made little Xi realize why Shangguan Li always seemed to be gloomy. He didn't ask further as they continued to run to finish their fifty laps.

When they finally finished they were all catching their breath as elder Qian arrived looking pleased. Go rest and eat. After an hour I will see you in the Dao hall. She finished before leaving again.

I knew she was a heartless demon, Wang Yifan grumbled. She's as bad as mom, Ming ran agreed. This made little Xi think, why are all the female cultivators here seem to be more dominating than men? he mused.

The six returned to the beginners hall where each returned to their rooms. I'm too tired to help cook, the two boys told little Xi. Let's just eat fruit and rest for an hour. Ming Ran suggested to which little Xi agreed.

Going back to his room he had to walk with Bai Ling until she reached her room where she looked at him, humphed, and slammed her door. Little Xi was too tired to care hence he just went back to his room and sat in meditation.

The qi from using the lotus heart sutra can strengthen the body, little Xi figured it could help recover from his fatigue. As he transformed and circulated the life energy inside him he could feel his fatigue slowly dissipating.

This is amazing he thought. He was again immersed in meditation that he didn't notice the hour pass. After he finished, he had to get up and run quickly as he was already late.

At the dao Pavilion there were some rooms filled with disciples but most of them were empty. After walking a few minutes he finally found where the beginners class is. He was the only one who was missing, fortunately elder Qian has yet to arrive. He sat immediately beside Wang Yifan. Did I miss anything? he asked.

Nothing much, your elder sister is still loveydovey with moody guy over there, Ming Ran pointed at Fengyou and Shanghuan Li who were whispering with each other.
